28 was at 150k and that lasted for 6 years then got laid off when the oilfield busted. 36 now and just took a job getting me well over 100k so I’m getting back to where I was finally.

I’m a teacher so I won’t hit 6 figures unless I go into admin, which I have no desire to do. We live in a low cost area, so the salary is fine with me, plus great benefits and pension. My wife hit a 100K right out of pharmacy school at age 24. She went to a 4 day week schedule once we had kids but still makes well over 6 figures now.

23 I think. O&G as an engineer was nice. Just took a cut to $98k working for DoD. Work/life balance and stability is more important now. Plus retirement, pension, etc.

With my main job I haven’t reached 100k yet. I’m probably about 5 years away, but with other sources of income I’ve been over 100k the last two years. I’m 32…
if we’re including rental income then I’ve been at 6 figures since my mid-20s.

30 years old and still $10k away.
Here’s a tip. Every time you think about how you’re 10k away from making 6 figures, just remember how far away you are from a 7 figure salary.

27 in 2019. Government contract work with a military background. Very variable income though based on “production” incentives month-to-month that have completely gone away at times.

The department I’m in had someone hit a 102k monthly production bonus in late summer/early fall 2021, and then they weren’t available at all this time last year. Trying to take advantage while they’re here before I’m restricted to my 70k actual salary permanently (as that seems where things are headed).
