Drivers can only rate you immediately after they end the ride, there’s no option to rate later and tips don’t show up until after they’ve rated you. Quick way to get to get dinged is hanging around in your house and making them wait to start the ride. I drive for Lyft and Uber AMA

4.9 on Uber, though I haven’t used it in years now. Still “new” on Lyft because I’m at 19 rides.
Where are people seeing how they were rated on individual rides? I’m not seeing that anywhere.

I'm 4.96 with 100+ rides on Uber. Not sure what I ever did to some driver to rate me low

Don’t use it often and know the 2 times I’ve received a rating lower than 5* also coincided with the only 2* I gave a rating lower than 5*. Maybe they knew it was coming and tried to match it to make it look like it wasn’t their fault.

4.95 but deserved. The driver had to knock on my door to have my wife at home wake me up from the backseat.

I do no know my rating; I use Lyft since I get 2X on my CC with them. My Lyft rating is 5.0 over 171 rides

Read the Uber/Lyft Reddit page every once in a while. The things they mention for dinging people can be absurd. For example, read one that they gave someone a one because they were uglier than their profile picture.

I have never taken an Uber other than tagging along when someone else called. I live in 1996 though.

I've taken 134 trips, only rated on 110. 100 5 stars, 6 4 stars, 4 3 stars for an average of 4.87. Not really that bad being that the majority of those were while I was living in New Orleans and those were nearly 100% group ubers with a bunch of drunk people

Very similar incident. From the Hilton App used the COPY ADDRESS feature and pasted in UBer (Should have used Lyft btw) anyway, the dumbass driver takes me to some apartments about a block away. When asked where we were he replies "no hablas englaze". I was notably pissed and had to point out on GPS where my hotel was. Then he protested to be dropped at the apartment complex.
