Perfect on both Uber and Lyft. I only have like 30 Uber rides, but 110 Lyft rides. I tend to tip extremely well and talk with the drivers.
For some reason, I also get a lot of baws that ask me if I'm going to downgrade them for smoking a cigar while driving, doesn't bother me unless I'm on my way to work or a meeting.

I’m at 4.90, I usually have pretty good interactions with the drivers. One time though I got an email from Uber about how when leaving Ubers to close the doors gently.

Same. I was as low as 4.48, now back to 4.77. From what I understand, this was very common in NYC for some reason. I also noticed it dropped whenever I was taking lots of late night Uber blacks (back when we could take black…) from the office

It pisses me off more than it should that I’m a 4.98. Frick the two candyasses that rated me one star…and I’m not entirely fond of the one that gave me a 4 either.

Where can you see how many 5star 4star etc you have, I see the total rating but don’t see a breakdown on the App

I've had two or three drivers give me 1 star for absolutely no reason. I tipped them, I was on time, I didn't have stinky food, and I was polite and friendly.
It's bullshite.

I can’t see any reason other than about 6 years ago an Uber driver flat out took me to the wrong place despite me telling him he was in the wrong no matter what his app was telling him.
After 15 minutes of telling him where to go I asked him to turn off the anpp and go exactly where i said. I still left a tip because it was his app’s fault but I was a bit terse that he wouldn’t take IRL directions over his phone’s.

5.0 here, but it’s not really brag worthy. I haven’t needed an Uber in years.

I drove for Uber in the past so unless they've changed something recently, drivers don't know whether you've tipped until after they rate someone. You send the rating immediately after the ride is completed on the app and typically you don't know whether someone leaves a tip until afterwards. Unless you tip with cash. I guess technically you can change the rating down the road but maybe like one every 5-10 riders gave me a tip so unless some drivers are psychos and go through that process for every rider that didn't tip them, then that's not usually a factor that goes into a rating.
The default on the screen is 5* so I just sent that in for most of them, and if I had a bad experience it was 1* and they prevent you from being matched again. Not that repeat passengers were much of a common thing anyway. It's kind of hilarious to me hearing drivers punching 4*s in, sounds like some sticklers with high standards. Or maybe that just fat fingered it
