You're really house shopping based on your hopes of winning the lottery?

I'd build a quiet cabin somewhere in Montana that sits on top of a giant concrete basement where I can keep all my new firearms.
Fun fact. I know someone who has a ranch in Montana and has always been into competitive long distance shooting. He has purchased at least two defunct bank branches for the vaults. He extracted and moved them to his ranch. It's impressive.

If I win the powerball if all possible no one would know. And there would only be about 3 or 4 people who would have contact with me because I would immediately get rid of my current phone number, my lawyer would take care of what needs to be taken care of.

Nice penthouse in NYC.

A small yacht in the Caribbean.

My current small farmhouse in GA. After I buy out both neighbors (would have about 500 acres) and do complete renovations.

A place somewhere in NE TN, maybe some acreage on the Cherokee Reservoir and then another place on Pensacola Beach.

Same home as I have now that’s paid for. You’d never know I won the lottery.

a new build in a gated community on a golf course in the San Diego area. Have only been there twice...Marine boot camp in '88 and then a two week AIT in Coronado in '94. The best climate in the country IMO.

Why would you even buy a lottery ticket?

With about 480 million after taxes, I would invest a quarter of it in real estate, or about $120 million. I’d get townhouses in NYC and London, a retreat in Mykonos, a nice spot with some acreage on the South Island in New Zealand and a nice beach front spread in the Seychelles.

2-3 acres on Lake Fork.house would probably a reasonable footprint square footage wise. massive covered boat dock with 2-3 slips. slapping solar panels on the boat dock and digging a water well so it’s all sustainable. along with a massive generator for long term power outages. a nice garden and arbor for veggies and fruit trees. all cash. setting up a fund to pay for future taxes, utilities, maintenance, etc.

me and my kids will be bass fishing every afternoon as we live off interest from the rest.

You would be close to a billionaire and you would choose your home based on how fat the average person is there?
