What’s the story on John Melvin University in Crowley?

They just had a baseball post pop up on my socials. Went to their Instagram and they have a baseball and softball team. Not many posts on the classroom aspect. Appears to be a Christian school.
I went to maps to find where they are and the building looks like an industrial building with shipping containers in a yard behind the building.
Random. Anyone know anything about them?

If you’re desperate to play college ball but not good enough to play college ball, John Melvin is for you

My son had an offer to pitch for Vanderbilt but we felt John Melvin was a better fit for him.
All the best baseball is played in the gulf atlantic athletic conference. School has no accreditation but is working on the coveted Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools accreditation. I hear the Yankees regularly scout Crowley for their next Jeter

Solid baseball school. A feeder college to big time schools across the country. Good place for your son to get exposure to scouts

Their dorms at the Crowley Days inn are legit as is their meal plan at the donut shop

they get talked about here a lot. It’s a garbage dump for travel sports athletes to be “college” athletes

Place looks about as legit as the South Harmon Institute of Technology

John Melvin wanted a college athletics program so he had to start a college.

At least they’re not woke. Their BS credentials are no worse than a Women’s Studies degree from Vanderbilt

A friend of mine was the men's soccer coach there when they first opened and from what I gathered from him, he still hasn't gotten paid and a lot of expenses for the program came out of his own pocket with the promise that he'd get paid back

I'm pretty sure the founder said something about creating it because high school kids were missing out on opportunities due to the transfer portal and additional eligibility
