i don't really want to live in a place that's rapidly growing. i lived in DFW for a couple years and the traffic was horrendous.

Traffic has definitely gotten alot worse here

wrong. New Orleans is one of the easiest cities to get around town in and avoid real city traffic

Metro area?

The nearest town is a village.

And it has 440 people or so.

And I'm 10 miles from that nonsense.

Same here, except I’m only about seven miles away, and it has a whopping population of 635.

Lafayette, 478k metro.
Will be around 600k if they add St.Landry and Acadia to the metro definition.

Baton Rouge metro area - 870,569 as of 2020

At some point Baton Rouge and New Orleans will be in one CSA of over 2.5 million, but it’s not currently.
