I live near the centroplex in central tx, centroplex, the population as of 2020 is 475000, when I first moved here around 2000 population was little over 200000, the area has really exploded with growth in last 10 years, there is now more people living here than the city of new Orleans, what's your areas population and how much has it grown since you lived there?

this is one of the positives of new orleans. it's not growing.
i don't really want to live in a place that's rapidly growing. i lived in DFW for a couple years and the traffic was horrendous.

Metro area?
The nearest town is a village. And it has 440 people or so.
And I'm 10 miles from that nonsense.

Roughly the same as Baton Rouge, but only about 1/4 as much murder.

Have lived in a place of rapid growth. Keep that.
Keep hustle & bustle.
Keep vapid, corporate culture places.
Give me a city with a soul, not growing, where the people are more interesting than the master plan is neat and orderly.

New Orleans has declining growth but you still get the shitty traffic and crumbling infrastructure.

Pittsburgh metro is 2.3 mil from what the google says. I’m about 30 minutes outside of the city though.

Town I live in just crossed over 50k in population and isn’t slowing down anytime soon despite not having infrastructure in place to support continued growth. We are 35 miles from downtown Nashville so the metro area is just under 2M.
