I'll do about 9 in one day as my cap. Anything over and I'm either splitting it up or flying.

At some point the amount of time spent on the road outweighs the cost and convenience factors.

My Daughter (no pics) lives in Kansas City, that's about a 10 hr drive. That is about all I want these days. I have driven from Salt Lake City to Montgomery Alabama with a friend just stopping for gas and bathroom breaks. It was miserable towards the end. Also drove solo from New Hampshire once. God was watching over me towards the of that one.

I love driving for road trips, especially in an area of the country I've never been, and hate the process of flying. 10-12 hours doesn't bother me, my longest was 18 hours from Key West to Lafayette and another trip did Lafayette to Denver in 24 hours, that one included pulling over for about a 3 hour nap.

Riding? Not long. Everyone in the world except me is a terrible driver and should have their licenses revoked.

Driving? Hours and hours.

I once drove from Washington DC back to Metry in one shot (with bathroom, gas, and food breaks mixed in) just to see if I could.

The distance between New Orleans and Houston minus 1 hour (so 4.5 hours). That last hour is always brutal.

About 13 hours, which I’ve done a handful of times over the years driving between Chicago and BR, and Chicago and Philly.

Pack sandwiches, snacks and drinks, go to the bathroom when you stop for gas, and knock it out in one go.

I’d rather whole arse a one day road trip than half arse a two day one.

I'll bet that's an interesting drive. Hiw much of that was stuck in traffic?

A buddy of mine had a side gig doing hotshots. One came up that he couldn't do so he called me around noon while I was at work and offered it to me. It meant getting off work In BR at 5pm, picking up a motor at 6:30 pm, getting it to a mine in BFE West Virginia before 9:30 am. I got lost a little in the mountains and barely made the dropoff. Then drove straight back and made it home at a little before midnight 28 hours after leaving.

We had a newborn that had kept us up much of the night before the trip so it ended up being one of the dumbest and luckiest escapades of my life. I began slightly hallucinating for the last 2-3 hours of the trip.

I drive on road trips and I'm usually good for a max of 12 hours. Anything more than that and I lose my mind.

It was fun on the drive up, with sleep stops included, and extended pit stops. I think it was a rest stop in Maine we saw an absolute ton of fireflies at sunset, absolutely beautiful!

Driving back was beyond brutal... don't remember the traffic situation, I think it's trauma-blocked, lol.
