Man it’s Oakdale end thread lol
My mom is from there. Spent a lot of summers there and still go visit a couple times a year. It’s a very different kind of place
Ballard Rd at night!??
Bluebush Rd at night?
The south side any time of day?
Just go to Buddy’s IGA and observe who walks in and out
At one time it had a very In the Heat of the Night kinda small town vibe.
Today, the town is filled with gangstas and druggies. Plus, this redbones will kill you in a moment, dispose of the body either in the woods or with a wood chipper (actually happened) then the rest of the locals would dare the cops to investigate!

I was riding with my grandparents through a neighborhood there when a white meth head looking guy comes out of no where banging on the window wanting cash. We got out of there with quickness.

Shreveport at night isn't creepy, it's liminal. Totally different type of vibe.

I vote for Jackson, solely for the LA State Hospital there. And if you've ever set foot on property you know what I mean. Also Jackson itself and the surrounding area do nothing to help the creepiness.

Passed through a town called Merryville on my way to Sam Rayburn a few years ago. Did not see a single person out in their yard or walking anywhere. No other vehicles on the roads. It was like no one lived there at all. Very weird.

I've only been to Marksville once. What's it like on a normal day?

Not in the running, I’d say. A pretty normal place by LA standards. Lots of people around and plenty of businesses open.

I haven't been there in years but spent a lot of time there as a kid, Zwolle wasn't a bad little town in those days, there were a few "elements," but they had their own version of Buford Pusser, Quinton Brandon

Came here to post this. Went there twice as a high school kid for hunting trips. That place is lost to time. Creepy and depressing. Looked like something out of the Great Depression.

Quiet little class A town. It’s kind of spread out so no real neighborhoods to speak of. Don’t know if it’s still there but used to have a decent little chicken joint called Fausto’s.

I can tell you from experience that the most unfriendly town is Lake Providence.

Oakdale is not a welcoming place either
