Ferriday

When I was kid playing baseball, Ferriday had the nicest field around. Even had water fountains in the dugouts.

Also. Concordia is nice.

That place is depressing

Do tell please. My mother was born there and I lived there from 8-14(i consider it where I grew up) with my grandparents. My entire family were farmers. I knew we were poor but it didn't matter to me as a child. It was a dream for me being there. The most fondest of places in all my memories. Didn't live in town but went to school and everywhere else in town.
Of course only few, if any, still live there so I suppose I should've known hard times had come to town.

Maybe the whole town isn’t creepy, but the historic hotel in downtown Bunkie is creepy! It def gives off Norman Bates vibes.

zwolle - dad use to make us roll up the windows driving through there. Years later he was a salesman and z was on his route. Said they were the nicest people you could meet...ebarbs, and others who owned small grocery stores.

I grew up in Covington. A country friend from nearby Talisheek, La told me his grandma told him stories of a Minotaur coming out of the woods at night. If you’ve been to Talisheek, you might believe her……

Not sure about towns, but I had the creeps driving in the Desire Area in the 9th Ward during broad daylight. I didn’t see a single person but felt like I was being watched the whole time and I could felt the heaviness and negativity of that neighborhood. I had to get the hell out ASAP. I’ve driven through most of NBR and many of the other terrible neighborhoods in NOLA but have never felt that way before.
