The card reader doesn't simply say "Remove Card Now", it says "Remove Card Now" while doing that loud BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! BS.
Now I challenge myself to take the card out of the reader within half a second before the beeping starts.

I just try and look miserable in line. It works, I've even had people let me go in front of them.

Those folks behind the counter hate it as much as you do.

What the point of those card chips?
What the card companies tell you: enhanced security.
Reality: To piss off you, and everyone in line behind you.
I don't know about y'all, but I do a mental dance every time I see "No chip reader."

Make up different emails on the spot when they ask for it.

I just stand there staring at the debit card reader asking if its ready for me to swipe?

Don't go to Autozone, I've got like 27 bottles of fuel injection cleaner.

I set up an email address that automatically responds to every email it receives with gay porn. That's the one I give when they ask

There is some poor fricker out there who has the address ___ @aol.com.
He gets a shitload of spam because of me handing out that address to every website and retailer under the sun.

The cashier is probably much more annoyed by it than you are. She probably just wants to put in her 8 hours and go home....so don't take it out on the cashier.

Don't forget that annoying fricking alarm that goes off to tell you to remove the card. It almost sounds like the shoplifter alarm. Nice advancement in technology.

Is it really so hard just to answer "no" to those questions and go along with your day? I don't see why this is something worth getting upset over.
But to each their own I guess. Go on looking for reasons to get angry

When I know I am going to buy something specific, I just bring cash with me because I hate dealing with them asking "would you like to donate $3 to _____ we can just deduct from your card?" Or any other bullshite, I like to have as close to the exact amount in cash as possible, here is my cash, give me a receipt, this is mine now... I am out.

It's that way at the Asian massage parlor too. You want extra? Only $20. No? Then $10?

To keep the record straight: No, I don't get angry at the cashiers. I know that it's their job.
But to your point, I suppose I could. But what about when it's not just the four different questions/solicitations I got when trying to check out today? Maybe they decide to add:
"Could I get your Twitter handle?"
"Would you like to add a pack of gum to your order?"
"Could I get your significant other's email so we can email them Christmas gift suggestions for you?"
At some point, enough is fricking enough. I can handle you asking if I'd like to join your rewards program or donate to your non-profit, but all these damn questions add up to a very annoying experience.

I remember being at Conn's and trying to buy a memory card. A simple cash transaction, right? Nope, they wanted all kinds of info and told me that I HAD to give them my email address or the register could not complete the sale. Ridiculous!
So I told her to cancel the sale. We were also going to buy a laptop, a camera and a video camera (as a separate business transaction) and we handed them over to her and walked out.

My hate is reserved for the post sale email demands for feedback on your purchase or service. Hotels and airlines are the worst at this. Delta recently sent me a "rate your flight" email which I deleted. They followed up with not one but two "you didn't respond to our request that you rate our service" emails. I wigged out, gave them a one star rating and wrote a super vulgar "when the frick did it become a requirement that I rate your business" response. Hoping someone, somewhere read that.
