I take Ubers all the time. They’re usually playing some Arab or Music sung in Spanish. Not once do they put on something because they think I’ll like it.

To be fair, I did have a black driver that put on Matchbox 20 when I got in

Because I think it would be funny, if we're being honest.

Now THIS hire seems like one that will move the needle.

A friend is considering giving his girlfriend a lab grown diamond engagement ring. He said she will not know it’s a real diamond and a lot cheaper. I advised him not to go that route. What are your thoughts? Am I wrong in my advice?

Go cheap, he'll appreciate it during the divorce proceedings in 5-10 years. Trust me.

The definition of blown away is subjective

You could use this response for almost anything in the world.

Having a big dick is subjective. But if you talk shite about it and pull out a 3 incher when it's time to do the deed, don't be surprised when she's let down.

I am going to keep that in mind for my next Tinder date, though.

Silver is catching heat because his resume isn't impressive and his hires aren't helping.

I don't understand the strategy of going out of his way to tell everyone "Fans and media alike, you're going to be blown away by the staff" at the opening press conference and then turning around and hiring a staff that no one is blown away by.

Establishing yourself as a guy that over-promises and under-delivers isn't exactly going to ingratiate yourself with a beaten down fanbase.

I still think we have the second coming of Chad

I'm not excited about the hire, but we gotta let these Chad Morris comparisons go. The two resumes aren't in the same stratosphere.
I was hoping we'd hire someone that would unite the fan base, but this wasn't exactly what I had in mind.

I just threw halftime out there as an off-the-cuff reference point

And that's all I was commenting on since 2nd half production was the original point of the discussion. The rest of the post is fair enough.

What happened to just posting the scores of all the games like you did initially? Didn't support your point strongly enough?

I accidentally hit "post" while I was still crunching numbers

Deflect if you need, but they averaged the same number of 2nd half points in close games as they did in blow outs. So the argument doesn't exactly hold water.

That's an interesting theory.

I took a look and in the first 6 games of Chad's last year, the largest deficit they faced at halftime was 17 points (and, as we know, the team quit after that). According to my math, they averaged 13.1 2nd half points in those games. So no meaningful difference in close games vs blowouts in 2019.

Bobby cared enough to send out a farewell statement. I'm sure he would have loved to go out on a high note.

He shite the bed today, no amount of rationalizing is going to change that.
Maybe it's the Arkansas public school education, but I'm not seeing anywhere in that post where Golesh says he's not agreed to coach Arkansas. Just a non-committal statement from an AD and a media member parroting what was said.

Use the "Way Back Machine" and look at all the similar responses from people who just said we need to give morris a chance. And I'm the retard.

I don't understand this argument. Fan bases have said "give the guy a chance" for every single unproven hire that's ever been made. Sometimes they're right, sometimes they're wrong. In this case, they were wrong.

I really just can't take folks seriously that use Chad Morris in these doom casting melt downs. The dude was historically bad to the point where he didn't have a single P5 win in his head coaching career before he was run out of college.

If the hire is Golesh, he may or may not suck. But he isn't going to be Chad Morris.

Is this based on actual information or is it fan fiction created from years of emotional abuse?

Saw that Golesh is 1-7 in American conference games vs teams with winning records

On the bright side, our last two coaching cycles resulted in a dude with no P5 wins and a career OL coach, so it's the best hire in a decade.
