What would you do if you were homeless?

What would your plan be if you were homeless?
Would you go to a highly populated city and just beg for money, eat out of garbage cans or use homeless shelters?
Even though I have no outdoors experience, I would rather move to the country or forest and survive by the environment. Gather and hunt for your own food, make your own shelters and see some nice views of the wilderness.

I wouldn't eat out of garbage cans.
I would go to Portland, OR and just beg. My sister lives there and they feed the homeless constantly. She'll buy extra meals at restaurants in a to-go box if she sees one outside and gives it to them.
Its nice and kind of the surface, but then you realize most of them are professional homeless people that take advantage of kind people like my sister.
Regardless, that would probably be your best bet to get fed and sheltered.

Scrounge and beg for enough money to buy a gym membership. Gives you a place to hang out, with showers and potentially a locker to keep some stuff.

I've been homeless for over 2 years. I couch surf and keep a gym membership to shower. I've worked the same job for 5 years lol
