So to answer the original question, the top tennis player at a solid D1 school would have a chance at winning the gold in women’s tennis.
Anyone on the team besides the local walk ons actually

Brag of your athletic prowess or “just a girl” disrespect?

My money on the women in all events.

Edited to try and clarify that I wasn't saying that I would win in anything... just pointing out that if someone said those sports, you'd get the toughest of them.

Henry Ruggs' 4.27 is one of the fastest 40s of recent... he ran a 10.58 in high school, setting the alabama record. I know several h.s. kids do go sub 10.5, but thought I'd throw an nfl comparison in the mix.

Yep, key point is several, usually more than 10 but not hundreds each year. Most guys claiming to run that fast in HS were hand-timed and wind-aided, mostly both.

You apparently missed my post about i personally posted several times under gold medal times from the 96 Olympics, same month... July of 96, at barely 16 years old. I was 3 full seconds and some change faster than the 200 IM winner, and that cheating bitch was juicing, with a 15-16 age group national ranking in the high single digits. Kicking the dog shite out of the women's Olympic champ barely made me top 10 in that age group There were probably a few 13-14 year olds faster than me that summer, and a bunch of 17-18 year olds. Olympic champ wasn't finishing top 50 vs US age group boys back then. I imagine more kids participate in track than my sport. It's hard to truly for sure, just it is definitely way more than 10. 150 sounds high, but i have little doubt that 100+ is doable, especially since that flojo standard is unchanged for 3+ decades.

Summer Olympics, nothing.

Winter Olympics, I could compete in curling. I would likely break my neck but I would give the luge an all out effort. I would be a valuable member of the bobsled team. I would be the one in the back that does the pushing and then jump in and let the girl drive.

Maybe shooting

Otherwise it would have to be beer drinking, peeing distance, sleeping, mowing, or sports trivia

I know none of these are events just saying I could hold my own if these were events

As I pointed out earlier in the thread shooting has probably the most parody between women and men of any sport in the Olympics. Unless you are currently a top national-level US shooter you won't be near a women's gold. In the qualification round in 3 position rifle shot a couple of days ago the top man shot 1183 and the top woman shot 1182.

How many people on the OT do you think can go run a 4.4 40 right now?

There's a guy on here who ran a sub 4.5 40 in high school and got his ol lady pregnant. Ended up in a plant with a few kids.

I saw him chase down his teenage daughter's boyfriend about 2 years ago. Kid is going to be playing college FB as a receiver. And this dude who's a father of four in his mid 30s ran this kid down in a softball game like it was nothing.

If my money is on anyone, it's on him.

None of them, and I highly doubt anyone in this thread claiming they can could actually do it either.

Boxing. They have better cardio, but it wouldn't matter. Bully into corner, fight gets stopped

DK Metcalf runs 10.37, let’s put that in perspective. Tyreek Hill’s best official time, legal wind was 10.19 in the 100n

Yes, elite high school and college boy runners are beating the women’s upper 10s times but NO ONE is “hopping” off the couch and beating a woman in 100/200/400m race.

If anyone on this board can, they ran track in high school/college or played a high level of sport recently.
