I will brag on my son - the least athletic (hand/eye) of the family.
Age 13-14 summer ball in Houston - he was threatening to quit, splitting time with 3-4 other less-talented backups.... I was assistant head coach.
Last inning - 1 out, 2 men on base, down 2 runs...
First 2 pitches - swung and missed at 2 fastballs that were at least 12" over his head. He then straddled home plate, said a prayer for at least 20 seconds while the umpire grew impatient. He then proceeded to hit the next pitch 20 yds over center-field fence for HR.....
He then went to right field, and proceeded to throw out a one-bounce liner from the outfield to 1st base and preserve the victory......ball goes to the fence for a HR if he doesn't snatch it in his glove.
then, quit the next game!
Oh, by the way - he found his true love - he can kick butt in Kuk sool Wan martial arts, including his big brother!

Played youth ice hockey for the Jr Kingfish. In one of my last games I forgot my contacts at home and had to play with my glasses on. Some kid from the other team wouldn’t shut up about it and called me four-eyes for about two periods until he skated just past the blue line with his head down handling the puck. I got about three good strides in and smoked his arse, knocked him out cold. Nearly cleared the benches but I guess cooler heads prevailed. He ended up being fine I assume.

At a college's baseball camp. I sneak into the oldest group since my teammates from school were all older than me and I didn't want to be alone. Scouts follow this group since there are some prospects in it. First time we take BP on the field, I am on fire. MLB scout is tasked with asking everyone how old they are, where they go to school, etc.. When he finds out I'm a freshman and I just had the best showing of my life, he really starts chatting me up about positions I play. Second round through, the real me showed up and that was the end of my post high school playing chances

In high school football down 4 with 23 seconds left I fielded a punt at the 17 yard line and took it to the house for the win. I remember stepping forward to catch the punt and my teammates grabbing me and jumping up and down in the end zone, but not a damn thing about the return.

Open field tackle against St Thomas More while playing free safety for St Anthony. It was a student body left sweep and their running back was free and heading up field. Dude was a beast so I lowered my head and literally stumbled into him. BOOM! Blew him up. Crowd gasped. Look like a picture perfect form tackle when it was really just a lucky play on my part.
That is the beginning and end of my football career.
Got a Gatorade afterwards.

Baseball: Hit my one and only home run. Also pitched one inning my entire life. No hits, one walk, 2 Ks. This was 9th grade. I injured my throwing shoulder in a dirt bike accident that summer and never could play again.
Football: jr high I had back to back sacks against our rival on their potential game winning drive when they were 2nd and goal that killed their drive.
HS: too many to count, I was an all star and recruited for college ended up playing 2 years as a starter in juco.
Probably against the #2 team in the state at DE i recorded 9 solo tackles, 6 for loss and 2 sacks and 7 assists, one blocked FG. We won 30-13.
Or against the #1 team first round playoffs my junior year they were undefeated and had the top QB and WR in the state. We won 36-22. I had 6 solo tackles, one forced fumble, 2 sacks, 8 hurries on the QB. QB threw 4 picks because me and our MLB kept him under pressure all game, and he blew his ACL after we gang tackled him trying to scramble to the sideline

Dixie league, 12 years old had fell on a nail that went through my hand earlier in the day. I hid it from mom and my coach. It became obvious to my coach when he saw I was having issues throwing the ball toward the end of the game one night, I played catcher.
Bottom 6th, two out, down by one, runners on 2nd and first I came to bat, He had a conference with me before I stepped into the batters box. He looked at my hand, all swollen and shook his head. Asked if I thought I could bat once more and I said I could. Nailed one off the fence for a double driving in the two runners ahead of my.
My mom was livid with me, my dad was prouder than hell.

8th grade, I was the number one draft pick for softball rec league (pitcher) and then won the championship and was the winning run batted in. Also won a soccer championship for the Jr high the same Year as a starting forward.
I was 5 1” and about 100lbs and still am to this day. Never grew after 8th grade so it was the peak of my sports career besides cheer. I married tall ... so maybe my kids have a chance lol.

Best
High school baseball...pitched a 1 hitter, struck out 17.
Worst
Dixie Majors summer league..hit both brothers that were on the same team.
Runner up best...catcher called for one low and out and I went high and out and it clipped his mitt and caught the ump in the throat. Dude was calling a crap game anyway and deserved it.

Little League. My cousin and I were pitching on opposing teams. We both got up 4 times and we both beaned each other on purpose 4 times. This was in the 60's, in a small town of Italian immigrants, where everyone knew each other, so no one got all twitchy about it. As I recall most everyone thought it was actually funny.

In a key 8th grade football game I was playing DE on the right side when our opponent’s all-star RB came on an end sweep toward me. He had the ball in his left arm and as he cut inside of me I stole the ball out his arm and ran 40 yards all alone to the end zone.
My teammates and coaches couldn’t understand what I was doing.
Thankfully the only person who saw it — other than the befuddled RB — was the referee who trailed me into the end zone and laughed heartily. We won the game and the ref (who was a local) shook his head and chuckled at me every time he saw me in town.

Not really youth sports anymore, but in high school I got thrown out of a church league basketball game. We were up like 30 points so I just started throwing up half court shots. Ref said I was breaking the spirit of the game and at first gave me a warning. Next possession I tossed another one up that rimmed out, and he tossed me.

I was an 8 year old white belt in karate.
There was a tournament that I misunderstood as all students could participate. It was for those who were 10 years old minimum and at least a ranked belt.
Showed up, my family had drove to see from off some ways, etc. Sensei allowed it as I had been a dedicated student.
I ended up coming in 2nd place in the 10-12 age group, sensei gave me a red belt on the spot along with the trophy.

That was my favorite one. I did some epic shite that day and it's on camera.

Like one of the posters I was a pretty average young athlete. Maybe even less so. But I played baseball fairly well and when I was in Little League it was my first home run. I had practiced endlessly and never gotten close. But during game time I got a couple and I simply couldn't get my head around the fact that I did given my results in practice. That's going way back man.
