re: Was Hee Haw a thing in Louisiana? - TiggerB8t on 8/14/19 at 11:14 am
Not long before his death, Don Herron (Charlie Farquehson of KORN Radio) told the media that he's not worried about dying from his prostate cancer. He said "I was born in bed at my own home with a naked woman, and I hope to go out that way". ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: Was Hee Haw a thing in Louisiana? - TiggerB8t on 8/13/19 at 3:45 pm
Don Harron (Charlie Farquharson, KORN radio announcer on the show)wrote most of the material for Hee-Haw. He and wife, Katherine McKinnon, owned a summer home next door to my father's home in Prince Edward Island, Canada at Stanley Bridge for 40+ years before their separation/divorce and his ultima...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (2)
re: Houston is the cultural capital of the South - TiggerB8t on 7/22/19 at 4:26 pm
That’s how it always has been and some of the greats throughout history such as Michelangelo or Mozart were payed by rich people who were interested in high art. They didn’t produce their works for some peasant on the street. Quote: And the fact that money was thrown at the art doesn’t make the...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)

Glassell Museum of Art cited - Glassells originally from Shreveport, LA - many of his heirs still live in Shreveport - founder of Transco Pipeline and donor of art worth hundreds of millions to Houston and other cities across the globe. re: Once upon a time, Led Zepp played in Baton Rouge - TiggerB8t on 6/26/19 at 1:50 pm
Jimi Hendrix _______________ Saw him in Shreveport Municipal Auditorium probably the same year - 10th grade; late 60's. Burned the house down with "Fire" last song - speared 15-20 Vox amps (stacked 20' high) with his guitar until they fell to the floor - would've killed him right there i...

re: Lindsey Graham disagrees with Trump, says FBI Wray right re foreign dirt - TiggerB8t on 6/13/19 at 10:20 am
The right answer from Trump should have been as follows: "It was publicized in the media 3+ years ago that Hillary's emails were hacked - common knowledge, if true, and not too hard to believe given the fact that she was extremely negligent (if not criminal) in the way she conducted government bu...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: Sad what's happened to Shreveport - TiggerB8t on 5/31/19 at 2:33 pm
Nothing for Shreveport natives to feel guilty about, especially if you are older than 20 - even now, it's just as good of a town as any other in LA, but that's not saying much. New Orleans and BR are the only other "big towns" in LA, and they have nothing to brag about anymore - crime, litter, poor...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (2)
re: Our President tweets about OPEC! - TiggerB8t on 3/28/19 at 11:17 am
not true - especially when Nat Gas netbacks at the wellhead are now running at $2.00 or lower. Most O&G companies have cut budgets for 2019 and 2020; there is limited borrowing capacity for E&P companies - ask any major banker...the only thing they will lend against is PDP's now (Proved Developed)...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: Glenn Greenwald's Twitter feed is one of the best assessments of the MSM re: Russia - TiggerB8t on 3/25/19 at 4:16 pm
Yep, when your mom and dad keep telling you that your are the smartest kid in the room, but you keep making C's and D's (and in this case....a few F's), you have to take some responsibility for not getting the scholarship to Yale....unless your parents are ready, willing, and able to lie and cheat! ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: Trump: mueller acted honorably in Russia probe - TiggerB8t on 3/25/19 at 3:04 pm
not sure why Trump would be so gracious - lots of sidebar indictments and snooping by Mueller's underlings that should have never been in play....especially when the "other side" have been guilty for many years of the same things. From my perspective, this thing has uncovered just how blatantly u...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: Burrow in the RZ: 13 of 42, 31%, with 5 TDs and 3 INTs - TiggerB8t on 1/2/19 at 10:59 pm
Four pages on this and no one has mentioned the horrendous « hurry up » quick count plays called - I’m guessing we are 50% on the year in being flagged for illegal formation, illegal motion, false start, blah blah blah! Hardly ever get a play off and end up turning a 1st or 2nd down and 3 or less ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: What are your "must win" games for next year - TiggerB8t on 1/2/19 at 2:50 pm
Agree with the OP on being "content". However, I believe 2019 is our year to beat Bama. Senior QB with a full year under his belt with SEC football, plus a very strong surrounding cast - all around, especially if we return some key starters. I see Burrow, playing with a better RB corp, plus a...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)

re: Unfortunately, mixed feelings about our program - TiggerB8t on 12/30/18 at 1:05 pm
The biggest issue with The LSU program has been our inability to maintain depth with the early exit of our upperclassmen since 1/912 - We continue to get some real superstars in key positions but injuries, off-field screw ups and early exits create severe gaps at key positions - mainly linemen and L...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)
