Last month, my prescription medicines made it from Chicago to Baton Rouge in 3 days. Then, they sat in Baton Rouge for 19 days.

3-5 days of delay would be great.

This. 13 days to Dallas. Caught a late charge. I know I know. Pay online.

Then I had a certified letter from BR to Covington take 13 days.

Redonkulous!!

Local post office lady confirmed the issues in st rose and new orleans

If the previous tracking entry is "arrived at baton rough facility", then it's still sitting there...if it does show that it departed that facility and is in transit to next facility, it could be anywhere...the last few months of 2024, they were forwarding a ton of packages to various texas locations to waste time...idiots...

My dentist was complaining about USPS a couple days ago saying every other delivery service they use gets their packages to him on time but USPS is a crap shoot.

At one time I was getting mail daily but now it may come 2-3 days a week and usually in bunches when it gets here.

Last month my water bill came on the 15th with a due date on the 17th where I normally would come with about 10+ days prior to the due date.

Mail? I might get mail once or twice per week. Sometimes 3 times. Other times a week’s worth one time. It’s junk, my bills are online. Back in the day, the post office was a respectable job.

Everything I send priority I only go through a private company. Just mailing letters not time sensitive go through the post office.

I don't need to get junk mail 6 days per week. I do everything online. I only need mail a couple times per month. Most people could get away with once per week. How much would that save?

Best part is that the mail carrier I heard this from Tried to blame Trump for the issue when it was carried out by the Biden administration in The summer of 2024

Wow, that is not correct. The Postal Board of Governors consists of 9 members (no more than 5 can be of same political party). PMG DeJoy (a Trump nominee) was appointed during Trump’s 1st term. He immediately began instituting plans that negatively impacted our sorting, processing and delivery processes. He ordered the removal of sorting machines that he says were outdated (major fiasco in Houston because the new sorting machines brought in didn’t even fit, so they weren’t even able to install them). Under DeJoy’s watch, we have seen the delivery standards changed to result in slower service. Beginning in April, many rural post offices like mine will discontinue dispatching their mail to the Processing Center after the close of business each day. It will now be sent the next morning, delaying mail even more. In my 30 year Postal career, I can confidently say that the mail delays we have experienced under DeJoy, did not happen under the previous PMG’s tenure.

Same with Atlanta and that's been for a while now. When they hit large dem run cities, they get delayed and packages disappear. They can't do anything right
