You realize SG started before the mayor took office, right?

It's hilarious. The race card is all the St George opponents have.

They are actually trying to appeal to our sense of unity after SWB, Council on Aging, and the highly divisive Together Baton Rouge bullshite.

It’s not about separating from BR. The proposed area is not part of BR, it’s unincorporated EBR Parish. We were told to be able to create a ISD like Central, Zachary and Baker we had to incorporate.

or public schools, West Monroe is very good. Very few people from there send their kids to private school.

I wouldn’t say very good. I’m seeing a lot of 6 & 7’s on Great Schools site. Far better than Monroe, but not much different from the schools within the new boundaries of St. George now.

I think the biggest qualm SG supporters have is they want MORE schools in their area. And I think fighting for an ISD makes more sense than creating a city.

I have always thought it was odd to want to form your own city next to a shithole city. Just nut up and make the current city better and this won’t be an issue.

This is the best part about it.

Br city folk "Oh no. You can't form an ISD. You would have to incorporate into a new city"

St George folk. "Aight. Hold my beer"

Br city folk "DATS RAYSIS!!! U KANT DEW DAT!"

St George is the literal last chance for the survival and success of East Baton Rouge Parish.

You can spin it however you want but that’s the way it is. If the status quo is maintained, a huge swath of the property taxes that fund the parish will dry up. None of the people who live in south EBR are forced to live here. People are moving away literally every day. My wife (no pics) is a real estate agent who sells houses to young couples in Ascension/Livingston everyday. Houses in Shenandoah and Sherwood Forest and Broadmoor are still appealing, but If BR continues to turn to shite, the drain will not only continue but rapidly increase.

If you don’t allow the southern part of EBR to have a voice, it’s all over. Lay the groundwork now to help fix it, or expect to be sitting on your front porch in 2040 saying “where did it all go wrong?”

Says St.Louis,Detroit,Newark, etc residents who were forced to move and create suburbs of their cities.

When 1 is in control, and is 100% the reason for the decline, it will never change. And all of these Cities have 1 thing in common, Liberal strongholds. And in some they are getting loony progressives winning places on their boards, alder spots, causing even more stupidity.

Nothing you can do.

Nobody judged Bob Hurley for dropping his kids off at Jersey City Basketball Courts and telling them good luck.

Bingo. Old School BR is not happy about shaking up status quo. Funny thing is we have a consolidated form of government and the mayor is also Parish President so in a way by getting involved it is a conflict of interest.

It’s funny to me bc where I live has been developed for 45-50 years and we were never annexed but now we are in the wrong? Ok.

We want ability to have neighborhood schools that are of high quality and benefit every child regardless of race, socioeconomic status.

There is an elementary school in walking distance of my house but it’s a D, borderline F school. That’s unacceptable.

It’s an idiotic stronghold because smart people are leaving instead of staying and making it better.

Polite?? That is quite funny. The fact is "black leadership" in the name of equality has shite the bed for the last half century. They have systematically destroyed a school system and an inner-city. .....and that is being polite.

What ANTI-St George is REALLY about:

I believe it to be my right to use the the Sheriff's Department, with the force of their guns, to steal from those who have worked hardest and redistribute their wealth across the parish.

Very Bolshevik.
