BR people: OMG our public schools are integrating let’s leave the schools (destroys public schools creating segregationist “private” schools)

Same BR people: I shouldn’t have to pay for my white school, taxes should cover it. Let’s leave the city (they fail, but then divert all tax dollars to their development divesting from other areas destroying the majority black schools and communities)

Same BR people: if they want to use our tax dollars for “black issues” and not get rid of the Mayor like we want we’re just going to leave the city (there’s a common thread here in regards to schools and communities, but it ISNT education or community development)

That's one way to look at it...

Another is that people are tired of retarded leadership and having their tax dollars (steadily increasing) to pay for a complete shitshow of a school system.

I will NOT be silenced.

If people would actually talk TRUTH then these fake narratives wouldn’t continue for very long. But instead we want to be “polite” and try to “all get along”. frick that.

Or those that say

"Even if we did have amazing public schools here it wouldn't matter because I would send them to private school anyways."

Very misinformed and small minded take. The people in this area are tired of your shite.

So you’re mad that the group of people who generate the highest amount of tax dollars want accountability for how that money is spent?

I don't care who goes to my son's school, as long as they live in that school district. Bussing kids in from other parts of the city is plain bullshite.

You are trying way too hard . We get it- you aren’t a racist, just these Other people over here that disagree with you on some policy issue.

Parents understandably want to give their kids a chance to succeed. They feel they don’t have that in Baton Rouge because they think the schools suck . Why they suck is secondary although I’ll be happy to explain that to you if you need me to. When you are a Big Boy and have kids you will understand what responsibility to your children is all about. All your decisions involve their welfare. Pretty simple. Putting them in Tara or Broadmoor or Belaire isn’t very good parenting if you can possibly avoid it.

In free countries, people have choices, and they always choose the better options for their children than sending them to institutional garbage for the government to raise their kids for them. I don’t blame anyone for not sending their kids to EBRP schools. They’re less about learning and more about survival. Unless I’m training my kids to live in the hood for the rest of their horrible lives, I’m going to choose better if I have the means to do so, and so are black people who live in the hood and want to escape it’s grips too.

I’m a staunch proponent of parochial schools. It’s not all about the money.

There are some families who would send their kids to private schools regardless of how good the public schools are. Then there are people like me, who can't really afford private, but I'll make any sacrifices I have to make to avoid sending my son to a public middle school. That's why St. George is right up my alley. A solid public school system would be great for folks like me.

What do you think those white folks are saying now that they are paying for kids to go to private schools with their hard-earned money and Dumb-Bell Edwards has the Louisiana tax-payers footing the bill for black kids to go to those same private schools? You think that's right?
When will the criers stop all their whining about inequality when it's basically up to each individual how far they get in life. Choices, my man!
Until then, STFU!

So people wanting their tax dollars to benefit them over non-tax payers is now racist?

I don’t listen to the “opinions” of people on complex political issues when said person can’t even formulate and punctuate a sentence correctly.

It's always good to see Kibs speak truth to power on a Sunday. I hope the food stamps check made it.
