Old Money BR lives in the city limits.

While true, that doesn't change the fact that most of the non-commercial tax base lives in the unincorporated area.

Wait, you're from BR? I thought you live on the NS.

It is just that more and more people have decided to no longer concern themselves with the problems of blacks.

Exactly. We're sick and tired of the black community blaming everyone else, but failing to take responsibility for their own problems/issues. They take the easy way out and play the race card. In the past it worked more often than not, but more and more people are starting to call them out on it.

As another poster stated, why does white flight have to equal the automatic destruction of black communities? Why can't they take care of themselves? Baton Rouge now has blackcentric city leadership in place. Stop trying to blame whites for all of the black community's problems.

Need to get rid of all black teachers. They have the same “I don’t care” attitude that you see from every fat black chick working every convienence store or refinery gate. And they stank

Honestly, i've found this 2 be incorrect in some cities. From what i have noticed, it's usually shite, obese, white teachers who are the worst of the worst. Some of the districts can't keep teachers, and these flunkies keep getting jobs in these districts, and it suffers.

They are also very vocal, as many unfortunately get tenure and districts are stuck with them. They wouldn't last in the County where i stay, they would be shite canned in first year, but these districts have no choice.

There are no good or great schools under the EBR school district.

BR Magnet High is an exceptional school. Other than that, you're probably right.

Folks in Baker, Zachary, Livingston pay higher taxes than EBR for their new and better schools? How much more in taxes? That's a slippery slope as they are still paying state income tax.

EBR - 43.45 mils
Zachary - 79.2 mils
Baker - 43.2 mils
Livingston - has separate mileage rates for each attendance zone.

I am also for SG.
It is not just about schools.
It is about the piss poor parish services we get in our area.

I pay the same as someone inside BR for their garbage service.
The contract for the parish was given to BFI.
Yes, I got every contract since 2005-2015 contract and read them word for word.
Somehow we end up with Richard’s Disposal, who is responsible for picking up our garbage. It is not in the contract anywhere where they can do this.
My garbage service has been spotty and very poor. When I complain to the Mayors office, my councilman, and dpw to ask why my garbage is not picked up they give excuses.

Just tired of paying the same as the people inside BR and getting poor service so someone can pocket money off a kick back.

Will be interesting if St. George gets an ISD and has to raise property taxes to Houston levels. Problem is residents are still paying state income tax. Will the school's in St. George be as good as the schools in the burbs of Houston, Katy, Tomball, Cy-fair, Woodlands?

She is mentally unstable.

I stopped reading her bullshite many months ago. It was embarrassing, and showed how some one really stupid with a voice can be a leader of even dumber people. The comments to her posts are the worst of the worst, the fact these idiots actually believe and follow her.

Could it be that it’s just kids from a poor area that would still be part of your schools attendance zone even after the pull out

If they go to the bus "transfer" station, then no, they aren't in our district. If it involves building new schools, I'm all for it. I'll be there with a shovel in my hand, helping any way I can.

When my son was starting 1st grade, they wanted to send him to Broadmoor Elementary to help with his speech. They wanted us to put him on a bus at 6:30 am; then he'd go to the bus "transfer" station and get on a different bus that would take him to Broadmoor Elementary. I told them hell no, it was their responsibility to find a speech therapist to come to his school (which is what they ended up doing). Crazy thing is, there were 3-4 other kids that ended up in the same speech therapy as him, not sure where they came from.

We have a Democrat governor and far left wing mayor. Why aren't they fixing everything?
