Personally I take a high dose of Melatonin nearly daily.

I'm looking for something to recommend to a 30ish yo girl who's always complaining of not being able to sleep.

I’ve got two sisters who are 29 and 30. Gummies will be their number 1 answer.

Window unit set on cold.

Heavy blankets.

Replace bedside lamps bulbs with incandescent. No leds.

Read a book before bed consistently.

Pray a rosary.

As someone who will never have more than 2-3 hours of sleep at a time.. getting any sleep is a premium.

Over the years I've found this best combination.

Retiring

THE single greatest improvement in my life after retiring. And the sleep is glorious.

Has she tried consistently waking up early and exercising?

This would solve the problem for so many people but it’s a lot more challenging than swallowing a pill

I've tried a bunch of drugs including alcohol, Ambien, benzodiazepines, antihistamines, melatonin, THC and CBD. All of them put me to sleep and some of them kept me asleep until morning. But all had side effects that I bothered me more than insomnia. Mostly just being groggy all morning. The THC and CBD messed with my emotions after a while.

So now I stay busy until past midnight, don't get in bed until I'm ready to read a book for a few minutes and then try to sleep. I turn off most lights around ten and turn down the AC around 11.

If I sleep until 5am, I consider that a successful night. I'd like to sleep more but most days I don't feel tired.

I’d lay off the meds. You’ll get where you have to have them to go to sleep.

Easiest thing that’s helped me..Use the bed for sleeping and sex only. Don’t scroll the phone in bed or watch tv in bed. Keep the bedroom cool and dark. A fan helps..the noise will help.

Melatonin

I mostly works for me, some times it knocks me out, sometimes it does nothing.
