What major problems in this country are not the result of social media?

I can’t think of a single one.
I was gonna list some as I was making this thread knowing it couldn’t be many but I seriously can’t think of a single one.
-Privacy has been destroyed.
-Journalism has lost all integrity and propaganda of the corrupt is spread too easily.
-A local problem can become a ridiculous national movement in an instant.
-Historical statues would be still standing proudly.
-Sports have also become a major victim.
Nobody would remember Colin Kaepernick without social media. Mahmoud Abdul Rauf isn’t remembered by the majority of people in this country and wasn’t made into some revolutionary figure like Kaepernick.
-Politics is another major victim or benefactor. Both are true.
Hate groups like Antifa and BLM wouldn’t be a thing. At the least they would be looked at like the KKK is now. They would have been cancelled the old fashion way, by just ignoring them.
People in the Baton Rouge area wouldn’t know who Gravy Chambers is or care.
-Being proud to be an American wouldn’t be offensive.
-Being white wouldn’t be offensive.
-transgender people would be classified where they belong instead of a cool new fad.
-my neighbor wouldn’t be trying to form lynch mob after me for shitting behind my bushes when I couldn’t find my key.
Social Media has nuetered this country figuratively and some literally.
The list is endless.

Social Media will be the downfall of a civilized society.

Soup Sammich could talk about his issues and work threw them with friends or family instead of melting on a college football message board

I'd say the weather, but social media exacerbates even that.

Wealth disparity...that is the fault of the Fed, not social media. Thanks inflation.

Basic curricula in Western Civilization, History, English and Arts and Sciences in most major public universities have gone missing and I don’t think that is the “fault” of social media.

There were plenty of fatherless homes before Facebook
There was also rampant drug use

The arcane-clusterfrick known as the 1 point safety. I want to believe Facebook made such a mess of it, but it would be intellectual dishonesty. The awkward, feeling of dissatisfaction after a 1 point safety happens is not the result of social media.

To follow this rationale you would have to think there were no major problems in the US prior to SM or they just disappeared since SM was created.
