I've never understood why people feel the need to even speak to salesmen. I can ignore like nobody's business. Walk, never look, act like they aren't there and it doesn't bother me one single bit.

I put on my angry don't bother me face and say no thank you. Unless it's a pretty girl.

Kick to the shin
They hit the ground in pain and I continue to shop
ETA: same way I avoid Girl Scout cookies

Do you pretend like you can't hear them?
Quickly speed by and hope they've wrangled someone else?
Loop around the back side of electronics?
Pretend like you're talking on the phone?
Weave through the furniture section in the center until you've circumvented the area?
When they say "Good morning/afternoon sir" I give them the I understand it's your job but don't attempt anything beyond the greeting stare with the hello/don't talk to me hand gesture, and a "have a good day". It works more often than it doesn't and thankfully with the short guys in South La if they do try and continue I can easily lose their short little legs with normal strides.

Say no thank you with a smile and keep walking

This happened Saturday. I panicked and said, "I don't have a cell phone," and she immediately looked at the rectangular outline in my shorts.

“We already have AT&T” and keep walking.

These are the types of replies I was hoping for

I usually leave and just try going another day.

I just cut them off and say “Praise his name” or “God is good”.

"Thank you" with a smile and keep walking. Respond "thank you" to subsequent remarks.
Although "no thank you" would be more polite, salesmen get eager upon hearing the word "no" and try harder to make a deal.
By just saying "thank you" you are acknowledging their presence and confusing their instinct to sell. They usually give up after a second "thank you".

I tell them they cannot beat the deal I currently have, work pays for cell phone.

A kick in the crotch works best. They have a hard time talking to you when they are in a fetal position on the ground and out of breath.

Whatever they are peddling, you just say you already have it and keep walking. It's not hard.

I’d rather clean toilets than harass shoppers as a salesman.

I turn immediately into the tv section and go around them
