Glock Model 17 & multiple mags with hollow points. I'm going to be the only one telling the story of how it went down.

something isn't right here

the KelTec started out as hers but it hurts her hand when shot, and I feel she needs to be comfortable shooting the gun she carries.

What is your night stand, home defense gun

I've read all the responses and am floored at how many paranoid/trashy people keep a loaded shotgun between their night stand and bed. Do you even sleep or do you just lay there day dreaming about getting to shoot some dumbass that comes in your home?

Oh, 38 in the night stand.

Illegally modified Mossberg 12 ga. and a 1911 Remington (45 cal., obviously) that spent time on Okinawa in early 1945 doing non-PC things. They are both ready to go in a household of only adults.

First line of defense is my rottie mix. By the bed, I have a Remington 870, and in the night stand is a Taurus PT111 9mm. The 870 will be my first choice should something ever happen, and my wife would go in the closet with the 9mm until it's safe.

ETA: None of the guns have rounds chambered at the moment, but the 870 is loaded otherwise and can be ready to go in about 2 seconds. The mag for the 9mm is right next to the gun. Obviously no kids in house presently.

Not in my night stand, but right under the bed is a Louisville Slugger and a 70# dog that sleeps just outside my bedroom door.

Beretta 92FS INOX "AND" Rossi .357 is the backup for the wife to grab. If downstairs when the shite storm begins, it's another Beretta 92FS and a Charter Arms .38 Special followed by a Mithcell home defense pump 12 gauge. Depends where an intrusion begins as to whati is wielded first.

And my alarm system is my two dogs. Can't be bypassed or cut off.

.357 Ruger with hollow points, speed loaders in the top drawer ready to go. Have two labs as early warning system, they bark whenever they hear someone drive up and go nuts when someone comes to the door.
