What is your generations’s anthem, the song that you think best says “that’s my people.”

While there are a bunch of really epic songs from back in the day, I still have to go with Freebird .

What’s your generational anthem, or maybe that song that when you hear it, it causes an immediate rush of memories to sweep over you and bring you back to your old bedroom and your stereo (iPod or whatever) soaking it all in for all it’s worth?

Unfortunately nothing overtly cool like Freebird.

Good Charlotte - The Anthem was one of the most popular songs when my generation was in high school.

Oh, you said “generation”.

Not trailer park.

Oh well, all the same.

Would probably be my answer as well. It doesn't mean that you have to like Nirvana but that song came out right around the time I was starting HS and certainly ushered in a new kind of music for the next decade or so.

As a Gen Xer graduating high school in 1990, I thought it was Youth Gone Wild. I’m not really sure anymore what our anthem is…

Not a bad choice for millennials.
