What is with wearing hoodies and sweatsuits to lift weights at the health club?

I see black kids wearing hoodies in the middle of summer in 95 degree heat.
I just can’t figure it out but they love their hood rat costumes.

I cut sleeves off my hoodies because I like how hoodies feel.

People do this usually to build up more of a sweat. What I don’t get is the kids hanging out outside after school in hoodies and jeans when it’s 90 degrees out.

Losing water weight is not really losing weight. But these guys aren’t doing cardio, just lifting weights. I’m guessing they think it looks good.

My gym is cold. I'm assuming they keep it that way to prevent the fatties from overheating.

It could be the look or it could be for comfort. Some gyms keep their AC’s cranked way up to reduce sweat for sanitation purposes.

i see this more on youtube and "influencers".
i actually dont see people in the gym wearing hoodies that often.
i dont see the appeal. im gonna sweat regardless. i dont need a bunch of extra clothing when at the gym.
