I remember shotgun weddings where couple had only known each other for a very short time. The marriages lasted though.

My grandparents married after dating for a few months. That was in the early 40s though.

2 days then divorced 2 weeks later. He married a stripper in KC the day after a one night stand and…….they mutually decided it was not a good thing.

Saw a couple marry after just a couple weeks. They stayed married for almost twenty years, but divorced a couple years ago.

Sounds like my mom. She met my dad when she was 22. She was living in a boarding house for young Christian (Catholic) women who moved to the big city (Baton Rouge) for work. Dad was a ‘grizzled’ 25 year old Korean War veteran working at one of those futuristic television stations in the late fall of 1954. They were engaged and married all within 10 months of meeting each other.
They had 9 children and were happily married for 34 years until Dad passed away from cancer at the very young age of 60.

I’ll be married for 25 years in August after dating for 6 months when we were 18. Turned 19 in August and married the same month

My wife had an aunt who married a Marine two weeks after they met. It lasted until he passed away, probably 30 years later. I never met him, but they said he was a real arsehole. She was nice and never remarried. He had been Jonathon Winters' sergeant (and apparently did not care for JW).

Kissed the lovely future Mrs cad for the first time on memorial Day, got engaged that December and married in January.
Going on 11 years now and while it might have been a disaster for Mrs cad, it was the best damn thing I've ever done.

I married my wife after 6 months. Will make 22 years this summer. Best decision of my life.
