The country music song, "I got married to a waitress and I don't even know her name"
The way some guys drink, I guarantee it has happened,

Knew one guy proposed after two weeks. Still together 20 years later.
Knew another guy who proposed after two weeks and eloped at 2 months. Huge frickin disaster. He was a colossal f-up though, so not surprising.

Like Greg and Dharma, I know a couple that met on Friday, married on Monday. "We knew we had each met the one." They have been married 40 years, so they must have been right.

About 5 1/2 months from 1st date to wedding. That was 59 1/2 years ago and still going.

Dated this hottie back in 2006 in BR. It didn’t work out, but she met a guy a month later, married him after 2 weeks of dating. They’re still together today. Insane.

I can't say for sure how long or short but I do know of a marriage that didn't make it through the first 2 days of the honeymoon.
One of my male cousins got married to a gal about 50 years ago that would not give it up while dating.
They get married and go on their honeymoon and 2 days in she calls her mother and says she's leaving him. Her reason was, "All he wants to do is have sex all the time".
She caught a flight back home to mom's house and filed for an annulment.
Guess he was making up for all those nights of blue balls when he went home.

Back in the day, my LexisNexis rep told me he and his wife got married after their first date and were well past the 10 year mark.

I know I was gonna marry her after our first date.
And she knew it, too.

I think that’s cool- instant chemistry and attraction- like you knew each other. How long after that date did you marry?

Knew my wife for less than a year before we got married. Met in November, married in August.
This year will be our 15th anniversary
With that said, I do understand that we are in the minority.

Less than a month.
They’ve been married for 41 years and still counting. My wife and I were dating and fixed them up, he was a friend of mine, she was a friend of my wife.
He knew how badly he was out kicking his coverage so popped the question and amazingly she said yes

I have a lot of Mormon buddies. A couple of them married their wives like a month after dating. They're all still happily married.
I was seriously dating this super fine young lady who was Mormon. She had been loading me up with Mormon literature, tapes and videos on Mormonism.
Finally, I had to admit that I couldn't go there, and she seemed fine with it, but within 30 days she had kicked me to the curb.
Within 6 months, I learned that she had met and married a missionary who had come through town on a bicycle.

Go hang out around BYU and watch how fast those virgin Mormon missionaries get married after returning from their 2 year missions....
Tons of very bad marriages made simply because those kids are desperately horny.

Interesting. I've observed the opposite - although most of them are pressured to pretend they're happy - but thats just Mormonism. Lot's of pretend/faked happiness.
