I ordered one a month ago. Currently being manufactured in Japan and should have it by October. Great bang for the buck. Also considered a Supra or Nissan Z.

The BRZ is made in Japan?

ETA: I see they are. Strange there’s so many Subaru badges under the hood of my son’s GR86…I guess it’s a nod to the development…or all of those engine parts are made in this Subaru factory. Interesting that these brands marry like this.

45k for a suped up Civic? These prices are wild to me

It’s a 170mph civic lol. The fastest front wheel drive car ever made. Faster around the ring than many Porsches.

I have other cars. Just wanted to try this out and scratch my itch for a 6 spd manual. Can’t get hurt too much selling or trading one in.

Anyone that knows cars knows the C8 is an awesome piece of machinery.

It was on my short list, but I like to roadtrip with my wife and my loyal companion, so I needed a back seat.

My dad has one and it's tough to drive it without a smile on your face, especially if you wind it out. Really starts to pull and it redlines at something ridiculous like 9,000 RPMs.

Yeah explains why I owned two over the years. Sold the last one and regret it every day (was still young and forced to get something more practical as a daily drive). The prices have now skyrocketed for those in good condition, expected when they only made 128k of them worldwide and 66k in the US over a 9 year period.

I put about 100k miles on the second one though so worth every cent in depreciation. Best value 50/50 weight distribution, practically mid-engined car at that price point ever. Will always put Miatas to shame.

You are correct. It was the Si I was thinking of.

I got a 2024 Integra Type S (DE5) last June. I wanted an FL5 Type R, but couldn’t find one without dealer mark up. I’m very happy with the Integra.

Just did the rear motor mount last week and will do some brake upgrades but yeah these cars don’t need much to be very fun. Its downright silly how well DE5/FL5/FK8 can corner.

This thread is awesome.

I'm stoked to see what the future toyota mr2 and Celica looks like and where they will land price to performance. Rumor was both will be NA engines.

Quite a burst of semi attainable sport coupes hitting the market now or soonish. I've read it's due to a law that takes effect in Europe in 2030 banning new NA cars. Does anyone know more on that topic ?

I briefly thought about the type S and if it were to be my only vehicle I'd have bought over the type R. They both have their pluses and minuses when compared I think.
