Labs are really tough as puppies, but mature into great dogs, can be pretty stupid, though.

Terriers can be great and smart, but also yappy.

Poodles are smart and don’t shed, but can be kinda dick-ish

Aussies are super sweet and affectionate, but also need a ton of exercise and shed like crazy

Beagles never…stop…HOWLING!!! And they smell bad.

Goldens are great chill dogs, but shed like crazy.

Dachshunds are either entitled cowardly little shits or vicious monsters, no in-between.

Chihuahuas are just…the worst.

Poms are adorable but fragile and prone to health problems. Pugs are similar in thay respect.

Husky’s can be great dogs, but they’re also loud and potentially violent.

Pits are super affectionate and playful, but can be temperamental and play FAR too rough.

German Shepherds destroy everything they touch.

American Eskimos never get the love they deserve in these threads. Super smart & agile dogs. Beautiful, too!

Beagle, but mine ain’t the typical one

Love my beagle. He’s a neurotic little fricker, but he’s my little shadow. He was diagnosed with lymphoma a few months ago so I’m trying to enjoy as much time with him as I can.

We've had our beagle for 10 years now.

He's a mix between a cat and a rat.

A cat because he's lazy and doesn't want to be messed with and a rat because he will get into anything he can.

I'm partial to Spaniels. I've had both Cocker and Boykin spaniels and both are great dogs.

It really depends on what you want and your life style. Best I've ever had are Great Danes and German Shepherds.

Came here to give some love to the Beagle. I'm on my second one, and his dementia is kicking in hardcore, but he's still a loveable lil bastard. Reminds me of me.

I don't know if I'll ever get another dog that isn't a lab if I want a house dog/hunting dog combo.

I've heard that.

My young Silver Lab is like that, and it is absolutely exhausting like you said. I think it's must be that Weimaraner coming forward from back in the lineage or something, but holy hell this guy is on 24/7.

Taken just now standing at the edge of my office staring at me disappointedly for not playing with him.

I have a schnauzer poodle mix (schnoodle anccording to my wife) and I may look gay walking him, but he is the coolest, friendliest, and smartest dog I’ve been around. Awesome temperament, doesn’t shed, and obedient as he decides to be

Lab or Golden. They are the best dogs. I’ve had labs in the past and have a Labadoodle now. He is a bit smarter than labs I’ve had, but that isn’t always a good thing. Little more personality, but he can be a damn princess sometimes. I tell him he has too much poodle in him.
