Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill took a shot at Mississippi on Thursday while weighing in on Dae'Quan Wright's eligibility battle.

Wright, who played at Ole Miss last season, testified during Thursday's court hearing and said he lost out on a potential seven-figure NIL payday by not being granted a fifth year of eligibility.

Murrill used Wright's situation to take a jab at LSU's neighboring state and former SEC West rival.

“Dae’Quan Wright, who played for Ole Miss, says he lost out on seven-figure NIL money in a fifth year. Mississippi didn’t fight for him, but Louisiana will.”

Doing what’s right, even when no one is looking. Everyone is looking and once they get past their ‘villain’ mindset, will see what really happened.
