I would pick them out and eat those separately after finishing off the other cereal that they were mixed with.

Dad was always the hero when he'd get up early and go get doughnuts on a Saturday or Sunday morning.
Mom wouldn't buy the good kids cereal when I was growing up, so breakfast was usually pretty lame. Every now and then she'd buy some as a treat, and of course we'd then eat the whole box in one morning and she'd lose her mind.

Growing up Aunt made chocolate gravy and biscuits. Me and my brothers loved that as kids. We use to go stay the night just for it.

Cantaloupe in season.
Old Fashioned waffles made on a dangerously hot waffle iron with the really small squares, fill each with a little bit of butter, and whichever jam Granny had made most recently.
Part of the pleasure was watching for the steam to stop coming from the waffle iron in the sunny window by the dining room table.

Eggs and rice, when my dad cooked breakfast that's what we were having and is still my favorite
I've never seen/heard of this before. Would he take the (already cooked) rice and essentially cook it into scrambles eggs - like an omelette almost? Or was this just a fried/scrambled egg with rice on the side?

You have to watch this stuff though. After 2 bowls the roof of your mouth begins to sluff off and bleed.

I was a Golden Grahams and Looney Tunes kid, but the occasional biscuits and coffee was always welcomed, I was a dunker

Put some butter in a skillet and melt it. Add your cooked rice to the skillet and heat it up, pour a couple beaten eggs over the top, and cook it over a low fire till the eggs are done.

My mom made the best cinnamon toast. Just the right combo of butter, sugar, and cinnamon. Perfect.

my grandma’s pancakes cooked in a rectangle black iron skillet, absolute perfection of crunchy exterior and soft doughy interior with melted fresh hand churned butter and steen’s ribbon cane syrup, washed down with ice cold milk from the cow in the barn...
