If this was two years ago, my answer would be this

Since it's 2025, I'll vote for any of the other pharma drug or boner pill commercials

Getting chippy here in Boca. Game is over but Toledo is over on the Louisville bench area

Yeah that didn't look like targeting on the replays here. But that 2 pt extra point return was nuts

Could be worse, it's 78*F out with a nice breeze

Heading to the Boca bowl soon for Louisville vs Toledo. Should be a decent game I hope?

What we have up in the air right now is determining how wild we want to get with our MXP-ARN routing. My personal favorite involves an 8 hour overnight in Serbia for $91 but that is still subject to change.

I'd love to help but I'm a lot more familiar with domestic US spots like mileage runs vs the international flights. I guess the first question would be are you trying to go with a high # of flights to see new airports or just find a cool spot with a <24 hr layover?

Before airlines went to money spent vs. miles/segments I needed to do a mileage run to keep Diamond on Delta. Did the following over about 24 hours:

Nice!

MSY-MEM-CVG-DTW-CLE-DTW-IAH-DTW-CLE-DTW-CVG-MEM-MSY

The only mileage run I did was on US Airways to get status with AA based on segments. MSY-DCA-CLT-RDU-PHL-BUF (overnight and see a sabres game), next day BUF-BOS-DCA-MSY. All in early december and all flights were on time or early, it was a christmas miracle

It's -8*F feels like -16*F currently here in Alaska. I think the highest temp has been 2*F feels like -6F while skiing. There may be some snow here, but after about an hr to an hr and a half me and a buddy had to call it each of the last 3 days. Ready for 80 degree temps tomorrow!
You need to look up EU 261. Since your flight began in the EU, even having a connecting flight cancel in the US on your way home would count. You need to ask delta for $$. This article below at least has the generics, need to be specific in your request to delta. There's no way a refund of $14 is appropriate especially given the delay would have been overnight. Should've been comped a hotel. Id ask for eu 261 for all 5 travel members given the overnight rebooking.

Here's another article with 'weather' descriptions. I'd fight this

Flight from Seattle to Anchorage was oversold by 10 people, offer got up to $1200. I'm usually all over that but meeting someone at anchorage airport

Flying up to Alaska to ski Alyeska later this week. Looks cold but I'll have a good time for some early season turns!
What time of day? I flew out last year day after Christmas and ATL was busy but not chaotic. Generally I'd suggest the first flight out of the day just to beat the chaos

Yup. Their upper mountain looks good, lower mountain could use more snow. They're in a warm stretch too over the next 4 days, but snow once that's gone

Headed to Alaska in 2.5 weeks, will get a few early season days in there! Weather pattern looks to be shifting to PNW favor in the next week or two so fingers crossed for y'all

Happy thanksgiving travel board

My dad is supposed to fly back to Newark tomorrow at 1030am and I just saw NJ is getting 20-30mph winds with higher gusts starting around 10am. I think I'm going to rebook them to an earlier flight in hopes they get home safely and not stuck in an airport for 4 hours

Looking for a good mountain to try for my girlfriend and myself. I don’t mind a difficult-to-reach mountain; more interested in good snow chance/less crowd, which probably means hard to reach

The snow pattern looks to be changing over the next week or two. When you say new years, do you mean right before or right after? 1/1 is on a Thursday this year so it's going to be crowded at most resorts that week. If you're going the week after, likely empty at most.

Places that have caught my eye that I don’t know much about: Crested Butte, Big Sky, Whistler

Whistler would be a good one. PNW looks to be getting hit with a lot of snow over next few weeks.

Schweitzer ID is a tough to get to mountain, but once you're there would be a good beginner mountain to learn on for the gf. Fun stuff for you to ski in the back. They have hotels and stuff at the mountain itself. I've also never found Schweitzer to be obnoxiously crowded whenever I've gone even on a Saturday/Sunday. Fly into spokane WA and drive two hours.

Other one I can think of immediately is Big Sky. Tons of ski in/ski out places and a huge mountain for both of you to explore. About an hr from Bozeman.

Maybe mammoth mountain in CA? It's a 5 hr drive from LA or 3 hours from Reno, but once you're there there's a ton of places to stay in town and take the gondola to the mountain. It's a huge mountain too so lots of terrain to explore. Plus lots of restaurants and bars.

Just my take

Thanksgiving Week Travel Plans

Hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving

Where's everyone off to this week?
As a kid growing up in the northeast, I surprisingly had not been to the WTC. So my dad took me and a sibling up to the top of the tower on a beautiful saturday. Can still remember my ears popping on the elevator. This was 2 weeks before 9/11

Only other thing I've got was two years ago I flew up to Alaska to go skiing Christmas week at Alyeska. I flew on Alaska airlines from Seattle up there on a 739 Max plane N704AL. I was sitting in a window seat behind the exit row by ~10 rows or so. This ended up being the plane that had the door/window blow out on the flight from Portland airport on January 5th last year due to damaged rivets. The plane already had indicated its first cabin depressurization 'Auto Fail' apparently by the time I had ridden on that plane.Thankfully no one died when that door blew out on the flight from Portland
Everglades
Beach
Happy hrs all over the place on intercoastal or beach
Museum of discovery and science
Tons of golf courses around

It's supposed to be pretty nice most of the week
Pribula is terrible

 maybe I just needed to jynx him, nice two passes back to back
