It adds up quick. Zyn is over 5 bucks a can. I had one in from the time I woke up to the time I went to bed. About 10 cans a week. Talking about close to 4k a year on nicotine.

Idk if any of these ruined finances as much as just kept guys from hitting their true max potential earnings. And idk if that's a bad thing, you have to live a little

Biggest financial mistake I made was not getting a credit card immediately at 18. I thought paying rent, utilities etc. would go on my credit score - none of it did & it takes several years to get a good history. There's no fast forward button you can hit, and it really sucks knowing you're stuck getting crappier financing until 2 years roll by

That's where I'm at right now. Zyn saved my gumline from tobacco, but I've tried dropping zyn and it's like it only pours fire on the addiction.

I'm usually not mentally weak, but this addiction brings it out in me.

That’s $11 / day. You can get 3 cans of velo for that. If you’re housing that much, buy them in bulk rolls. Your bad decision is method of purchase. It’s like being a restaurant and buying all your ingredients at a bodega.

Absolute addict speak.

I quit Cope Long Cut in 2015. Cold turkey, no gum/meds. Felt like the flu for a couple of days. I dreamed about it for a year. Don't think much about it these days. But just typing this makes my mouth water. Glad I got to experience one of the lesser consequences of addiction.

Yeah, Copenhagen is trash dip that makes your teeth look like a trailer park advertisement.

Caffeine is an addictive drug too. Pure nicotine isn’t some stone cold killer. Having an addiction to it isn’t the end of the world. Nobody is out pawning stolen goods to buy Zyn

Your argument here is that I should be buying cheaper nicotine? How about quitting and not spending 4k or however much a year on it

Nah, my argument is that zyn isn’t some financially destructive habit unless you’re really poor. Not all that bad for your health either. The food most people eat is 100x worse.

I keep reading this title and it irritates me. If it was harmless then why did it ruin health or finances?

Lose the "harmless" and just leave "habit"

Goddamnit

I was a typical kid, rode bikes, jumped everything that was in front of me, wrecked more times than I can count. Then graduated to motorcycles, motocross, stunt jumping, county fair races.

And now, just got my first knee replacement

Rec sports after college. Have so many minor injuries that I am still dealing with in my mid 40s from those days. Knee surgery, shoulder pain, back & neck injuries, arthritis in my feet, etc.
And it wasn't a "I need to hold on to my glory days" issue, I just played for the fun of it.

My doctor and dentist begrudgingly admitted nicotine pouches aren't long term harmful, and can actually help with certain conditions.

My dentist just told me to move it around and not to leave it in the same spot.

Never wearing sunscreen and working outdoors has led to skin cancer.

Chasing tail and afternoon bars... almost every afternoon.

I should have been working more than 50hrs and leaving crazy women alone.

I did have fun, but as old men always told me... 20s are for your career, 30s are for family.
