Ok genius I invite you to take the floor and explain how you think we can make the economy better. I will be happy to hear any and all ideas.

Welcome to how we all felt when we figured out how fiat money in a fractal banking system works.

You can also be thrown in prison for not paying Uncle Sam the make believe money they decided you owe which can’t begin to make a dent in our debt.

It’s all a Ponzi scheme. Don’t overthink it, just enjoy your life until we all end up like the opening scene of Terminator 2.

Edit: the government also knows we are just the science experiment of aliens. But ignore that too.

I know there are a million subjects that "should be taught" but extremely basic economics should be one of them.

The idea that there is a paper dollar behind every dollar in a bank account is something that should be extinguished by the age of 12 at most.

Do you know how banks work? Do you think they just have a big room in the back of the bank and they hold everyone's money in there? If that was the case, how would the bank make any money? How would it exist?

What would happen to the global economy if everyone had...

A small cash checking - accessible savings equal to 6mo. of income - and diversified long term investments set aside for retirement.

Instead of...

A bi-monthly paycheck 100% used to pay off revolving debt

Meth heads are pretty frugal. A bag of trash can keep them busy for hours.

Crackheads are a different story

That depends wholly on what your definition of "fix" is.

Money sitting in the bank isn't how they extort us anyway.

We have a pretty good idea on how that goes. That's pretty much all of human history until about, oh, the Renaissance in Italy or so.

Then there would be very few people owning homes, owning cars, starting business, or any of the other enterprises that require you to have a lot of money to start/participate in.

I’m not a big fan of banks, especially massive, public banks that royally frick systems up including the federal reserve, but fractal reserve banking has allowed for greater access to credit and allowed for unprecedented economic development and expansion. A life with out fractal reserve banking would quite literally look a whole lot like VERY pre-renaissance Europe.
