Does he like girls? Because those Midwest girls have a lot of woofers. There are some pretty ones but nothing like the per capita found on a Southern campus.

I've spent a good bit of time in Minneapolis and St. Paul because a company I used to work for was headquartered in St. Paul.

Summers were nice but there is no way I could do a winter. We were golfing in long pants and jackets in July.

One compliment I can give is they do love to drink at U of Minn. We had a contract with the U of Minn that took us into one of frat houses. I was impressed that the basement of this large house was knee deep in old beer cans. It stunk something terrible but the residents were dedicated and it was a shitload of beer cans.

My opinion is based n about 10 years ago. I haven't been around it since the Social Justice stuff got going.

Is this an actual stat? How close are they to the Mississippi?

The University of Minnesota is basically on the banks of the Mississippi.

I lived in Milwaukee for a year....The cold was a huge culture shock to me. It affects all aspects of life Oct-March. I knew it was going to be cold, but didn’t really consider how that cold affects day-to-day life

I hated it

Gophers suck arse. They still revere the memory of mass murderer Ancel Keys.

The Mississipp cuts right through Minnesota’s campus. LSU grads will have to tell you how close their campus is. It right beside it, but it may not technically contact the campus.

The U of Minnesota is very well funded by the state and has a ton of internship, study abroad, professional opportunities for students. It’s a nice campus. I worked a project there over the course of 3 years. Traveled back and forth, didn’t move but stayed in university owned housing. Never felt unsafe...but this was pre-George Floyd. Now the people I knew there are trying anyway possible to get out. As mentioned, the winter weather is brutal and miserable. Thank God for the enclosed walkways between buildings. Like most midwestern universities it has a huge student enrollment and if he uses the wrong pronoun...he will be run out of town.

It's lame. Largely an afterthought in the big ten and even in it's own city. Spread out campus, not much character to speak of. They head to Madison for big party weekends like Mifflin St Block Party and Halloween (and to actually have fun at a football game).
