Yeah man, same. They disposable.

Got a little over a year out of 'em before they cracked.

They are pretty well made, but their sizing is very inaccurate. They run much larger than their numbers indicate. I would not buy them again on-line - would only get them in person so I could try them on. It is a pain to keep sending them back and forth to finally get a decent fit.

Bean advises that you send a tracing of your foot(with socks on) to them to ensure proper fit. They run about a size larger for some reason.

I got a pair of Sperry duck boots 4-5 years ago for rain & snow/ice. They were about 1/3 the price of LL Bean and they have held up well so far.

Different color, but $67.50

Did the shoe designer wake up and decide to design the ugliest shoe ever?

The ones I wear for work are Irish Setters from Red Wing. I'm sure there are better but I have no complaints with them

Because when ya live in Maine, you need extra room for thick socks.

Quality is still good and they are absolutely still made in Maine.

I researched it-and they are still advertised as being produced in Maine.

Maybe they are. But the quality between the older pairs and the newer ones are night and day. Just look at the stitching. I wouldn't buy any made in the past several years. Like I said-I looked for and found older pairs and bought those and they have been comparable to the ones I wore in my youth.

And thanks for this thread, OP. Now I am going to go find a pair of ankle high ones.

I've always like the idea of having a pair but never got around to buying a pair.

They probably would be handy if it ever rained or there was a snow.

Soooooooo fricking ghey.

It’s ok to let go of the fraternity days.

As much as you want to wear those with khakis, a polo, and a vest, it’s ok to grow up and be an adult.

If you wear some light washed wrangler jeans with them you would fit into any fraternity at LSU.

Ive always loved these though. They are very comfortable.

They’re cool for rainy days but they aren’t hunting boots, they leak at that huge seam where the leather and rubber bottom are sewn together.

I have a pair with the brick red soles but I messed up and got the 12” top instead of normal 10”. I have a pair of the 10” too, they do run large but that’s to accommodate thick socks.

Ive never not owned a pair of dem boots. They were clutch for walking around campus when everything not paved is mud. Double clutch on Bourbon Street during MG.
