Fishing tackle. I sometimes look around and realize I've accumulated entirely too much, especially considering I rarely get to fish these days with little kids. I've resorted to using some of it to decorate my office. There's probably ~$200 worth of Paul Brown/Corky lures hanging in my office currently.

ETA: And yet every time I stop at Academy I walk the tackle aisles just to see if anything catches my eyes.

When my dad was alive, he used to constantly buy me clothes I didn’t need or want. I just had to accept it because it hurt his feelings if I didn’t show appreciation. I’ve got like 20 jackets and 20 button down shirts that I hardly ever wear.

Books.

You’d have to go to a university library to have a better collection of civil war books than me.

And I’m a Jack London fan, so naturally I have over 100 different editions/copies each of Call of the Wild and White Fang. Because why not?

I’m well aware that 90 plus percent of them will and should just go straight to Goodwill if I die suddenly.

Back packets?

For me, I will get into something for awhile then move to something else. I have a collection of decks of playing cards, ink pens, coins, but I also don't like having shite around just collecting dust so I will go through whatever and get rid of it.

I gave my nephews my sports card collection earlier in the year. One day I had to move it for something and I thought "if I get rid of this shite I will have extra space" so I gave it to them

Liquor, not just bourbon.

I don't collect it, I try it all and go through each bottle eventually, but I keep a ridiculous stock as if tomorrow the world will shut down and I won't be able to ever buy it again. I probably drink 5% of it a month and replace it with 10% more
