Broken window policing, the court system has to be tougher on violent crime, no early releases.

we can piss and moan about stop and frisk, broken window policing, and the villian that Rudy Guliani became, but tough on crime policies with 0 tolerance leads to safer cities for everybody.

there's an ocean between jailing non-violent drug offenders (which i'm against) and letting a thrice arrested violent offenders out on bail or no bail.

At this point, nothing.

The only thing that can cause a change is to stop enabling these people to engage in this behavior with little to no consequences.

No politicians at any level have any sort of interest in doing that.

Gotta be hard with criminals.

If they don’t respect the consequences then there is no reason to stop committing crimes

frick that. Lock them all up. Just because you committed a property crime doesn't mean you don't deserve prison.

Become much harsher on crime. These light sentences and plea deals are getting ridiculous

Make abortion free on demand for chronic welfare people. Offer $20,000 to anyone of child bearing age if they’ll get vasectomies or tubal ligation.

This is the problem with your post...

at gunpoint

Liberals and Dems will blame the guns...

This is the real problem...

all involving people that were previously charged with violent crime.

I believe like the thread that we should go medieval on criminals with punishments.

There are people in this world that truely feel remorse for their crimes and there are those that don't.

Keep rappers like mystical off the streets. The dude should have been put in jail years ago and should still be there.

Its true.

Elect local officials who support your right to self defense at the very least. I'd like to see armed citizens more involved because cops are 10 minutes away and are more concerned with their own safety.

Change the media narrative painting police as villains

How will you do that when
1. In some cases the police are as bad as the folks they arrest?

2. The media are all in support of what is currently occurring regarding "restorative justice?"

Better district attorneys although honestly since you are not allowed to talk about the root of the problems they can really never be fixed.

As long as democrats are in charge, nothing, the revolving door for violent criminals will continue spinning.

Send all the juveniles to Angola and the toughest prisons in the country instead of trying to rehab them and put them back on the streets

Cops have no authority anymore and they can't defend themselves with their weapons either without threat of immediately being place on admin leave with chance of losing your job and possibly pension. Anyone in law enforcement with 20 + years is just trying to get to retirement without losing job - have a lot invested.

The police have essentially been defunded... while a lot of places haven't actually cut funding, the climate around law enforcement is such that recruitement is near impossible. The good police who are still on the job are scared as hell about becoming the next famous cop for doing their job and ending up having to kill someone. It's just not worth it to be proactive in law enfocement any longer.

Put the DAs that allowed it in prison to set the right precedent for the future.

Not going to be popular among some, however, if you kill someone you have not only taken their life, you have taken their civil rights away. Therefore, if you kill someone in cold blood, you forfeit all your civil rights. That’s a start.

It isn’t that hard. Look at what Rudy did in NYC. He turned what was a cesspool of crime into one of the safest big cities in the world. Of course, a lot of that has been undone. But it is doable.
