Not much...

Most from my Paw-paw, my mom's dad:

--His graduation ring from US Army Air Corps aviation mechanics school.

--A couple of his old fishing rod & reels that are hanging up on the wall in my office at work.

--His old single barrel shotgun (that I need to have restored) has been sitting in my shed for years.

--Used to have an old fishing fillet knife of his, but I was wearing it and the sheath broke off of my belt when I dove off a sailboat in the Mississippi Sound.

Also was gifted some cufflinks that belonged to my late father-in-law, will probably never use them.

Unfortunately a lot of stuff that was family heirlooms got lost in the Denham Springs flood. No lives were lost, so while sad we will make new heirlooms.

Personally some really shitty people that think they are Christians swooped in as soon as my grandparents died.

Material things are cute or fun, but ultimately irrelevant or at best a representation of something. That something is what matters: strength of character and belief in a higher power and objective truth, as laid out in Judeo-Christian values and our constitution.

I got most of the items that my mom had passed down to her. My great great great grandfather was a coppersmith and I have several large boxes of household trinkets he made in the late 1800s. Coal shuttles, candle holders, wall decor, etc..

One of my great great grandfathers was a 15 year old when he served as a prison guard at Andersonville during the Civil War. I have his straight blade shaver and wooden cream bowl and lathering brush.

I have a Western Union Master Clock made by the Self-Winding Clock Company circa 1900 that my dad has already given to me.

A couple of ornate large knives and sheaths that one of his grandfathers acquired during the Spanish-American War. My dad was told that they came from a fallen enemy soldier.

Some other misc. stuff. All of that stuff will be split between my kids.

My family on my dads side lost a lot during/after the civil war.

Each grandmother's wedding ring, an authentic buckskin native American jacket with beading, art, and gadgets from my grandfather's soda fountain shop where Will Rogers rode his horse in one day. Some other stuff.
