Houston: Never use your blinker to change lanes. This is seen as a sign of weakness

I notice when traveling to Southern Mississippi specifically around the McComb area. It's a blinker issue. People there use their blinkers to show what the car ahead of them is doing. Example, you have three cars in a line on a two lane road (Car A, B, C). Car A is turning left, so Car B puts on their left blinker, while car C slows down even more because he thinks car B is turning. Car A turns left and car B turns off his blinker and continues strait. Drive me fricking crazy!
I'm pretty sure this is what you are supposed to do to prevent some approaching dumbass from passing on the left and t-boning the left turning car.

Back road FM roads in TX have a lot of situations where the speed limit is 70. People will do 80 like it's nothing. So if you pull up behind a truck or something who is doing 70, they'll sometimes pull onto the shoulder (still drivin 70) and let you pass. It's courteous, but also kind of nuts to be driving that fast on 2 lane back roads while a guy with a horse trailer is doing 70 on the shoulder.
I doubt this is legally okay, just accepted and not enforced.

SF Bay Area - It's okay for cars to drive on the shoulder, which is usually also a bike lane, for more than a block in order to pass traffic going straight to make a right hand turn.

The general rule in TX is that the right lane is for passing only.

Is that a law? I drive through a big area and the only place I see this is in South Mississippi.

People straight up run red lights. Not get caught in the intersection, I mean run them 1 to 4 seconds after the light has already turned red.
Haha true

Colorado states you must yield to crossing pedestrians. Love that when I'm visiting your fine city on foot!

Talking strictly about roads here...I always know when I'm entering Louisiana from Texas on I-20 because when the smooth Texas road meets the Louisiana border there is about a 12 foot drop off. No clue how people's suspensions don't completely fall apart on that. Holy frick Louisiana needs some new roads.

New Orleans - People zoom around the right side of folks taking a left on crappy one lane neighborhood streets.

I know it's the law, but the pedestrians & tourist who are not in a hurry about anything are pretty annoying

One thing that annoys me to no end are the people who are so worried about being courteous that they ignore the fact that they have the right of way and will sit there waiting for you, but all that does is hold up everyone because you, knowing that they have the right of way are hesitant to go because in the back of your mind you know they should be going and you try to follow the rules and it takes twice as long for you to go as it normally would because you are waiting for the idiot.
Forget the courtesy, just follow the rules and everyone will be better off.

Boston: frick Everyone and frick the rules. I'm gonna get me mine. Oh, it's snowing? Don't give a shite. Still gonna go 15mph over the speed limit.
...oh wait, there's a slight drizzle? Time to forget everything I've ever known about driving.

Pulling over for motorcades

I'd allow this in New Orleans at some intersections usually involving Magazine St. Otherwise, traffic is a real cluster caused by left turners
People who turn left at lights on Magazine can all eat a bag of dicks.
You gotta strategically turn left on a side street, where you don't disrupt the traffic flow.

Of course left turners yield when they don't have the arrow. What's the alternative? Waiting for the arrow or just turning in front of traffic?

Apparently we have this law where cops can hit their light bar and run the light late at night instead of stopping. Usually happens when Krispy Kreme turns the "Hot" sign on.
I will turn left when the left turn light is red if nothing is coming and the traffic lights for crossing traffic are red (cars going straight beside and opposite me have the green light). Not sure I explained that very well.
