People who can’t pronounce “realtor” or “nuclear”

People who drive slow and don’t use turn signals

Loading up on lotto tickets at a convenience store

People who waste my time

People who constantly ask for favors, but can never return one

People in my line of work who swear they “do it for the kids” and “don’t work for a paycheck”

I could go on…I’m getting old and can find a reason to dislike most anybody.

The irrational need for people to double tap the "lock" button for their car remote, causing the horn to honk. Especially when there are people walking in front of their shitwagon.

Bitch, if you just locked it once when you closed the car door, you'd hear the thunk of the locks, you wouldn't need to pollute the parking lot with unnecessary, sharp horn noises. Your OCD needs to chill the frick out.

I think you may win the thread.

I developed a theory as a kid growing up in BR that pastors at certain churches and various “civic leaders” actually taught a certain demo to create situations where a certain other demo had to yield to avoid physical confrontation. Like a little intentional micro aggression to further “rights.” This was in the 80s. It was a pet theory that I’m fairly certain has proven to be true.

People that come up in the fast lane and time it so you have to brake for slower traffic because they are right beside you. Either go or fricking stay back.

Or the people that feel compelled to race you and get ahead again when you pass them on an interstate. If you want to drive 80 - do it consistently. But making me pass you 3 times in 30 mins because you can’t decide between 60 and 80 is annoying. Pick a speed!

Related: the tards who can clearly see you can’t possibly go faster or do anything to pass faster but still get in the right lane and tailgate the vehicle (usually a big rig) in front of them, then try to box you out like Ricky Bobby.

It’s a pandemic.

Talking on speaker phone.

Nuclear mad if you talk on the speaker phone and the person and you are laughing like hyenas and make that "chheee chhheee cheee" noise.

Out of curiosity, when one "self validates", who else CAN they validate?

Dumb shite.

That does not fit the definition of "irrational".

You are well within normal bounds of reason to get mad about that.

People who wait in line to order at a restaurant, which has stacks of menus on the counter and sometimes a big board above the counter with the menu, then can't make up their mind when they get to the counter, and ask 100 questions about the menu and items on the menu, then ask that menu items be changed 10 ways from Sunday to suit their desires.

These are the same people that stand in an airport security line and wait until they get to the luggage scanner to prepare for the security checkpoint. They inevitably have several electronic devices that have to pull out of their sealed-up carry on, jewelry on, a belt with a metal buckle, liquids that can't be carried on, shoes that take 2 days to remove, ask a million questions of the TSA agent about why they have to do all of this, etc. after walking past signs that clearly say what they ought to be doing and what they can and can't carry on a plane. Sometimes this happens with Precheck, but that generally cuts back on it. The worst is when they let non-Precheck (or other programs) people into the Precheck line for some reason. Motherfricker, I got Precheck for a reason-and it was to avoid this hassle.

Rant [OFF] ON

I think you could just sum it up in general as "people who are unprepared" or "people who don't think ahead". You provided a couple of good examples.

You need to honk, even if you're not right behind them. Everyone needs to start shaming these people. The irony is they probably missed the last light cycle because the person at the front of the line wasted 5-6 seconds after the light turned green.

There is an exit with a stoplight, a bridge over I-10, with another stoplight I'm on every day. I was maybe 20 cars back on the first light. It took nine minutes to get across I-10 (150 yards) because people are never fricking paying attention.

After reading several pages of this thread, I think many of you are actually right to be mad, which makes it rational, not irrational.

And again, it is not "irrational" to get mad in that situation.

More traffic circles would help, or more of those Diverging Diamond interchanges.

Those people need to be honked at as you suggested.

When people inch forward at a red light when they are in the middle of a cluster of cars.

WHAT ARE YOU DOING

WHERE ARE YOU GOING

WHAT IS THE PLAN

I swear I think a huge chunk of people in my state take a perverse pride in suddenly changing lanes or turning with no signal warning. They just don't give a shite about other drivers.

They used their turn signal one time two decades ago and had someone speed up to cut them off; they've used that as an excuse to be an idiotic jackass for the rest of their lives.

Super picky and indecisive people (who are that way entirely out of my presence where it doesn't technically affect me) drive me up the wall as someone who can make a pretty quick decision on most anything.
