if he’s still making a list for Santa at 17, tell him asap and understand the problem goes a lot deeper.

Thanks to the world we currently live in you have the option to tell him that according to "anonymous sources" Santa and the Easter Bunny are "Fake News".

Your son is 8 years old. He should know if he isn’t a complete idiot

In this day in age of iPads and internet, I'm surprised kids still believe in Santa

Every year my wife makes the boys write the damn elf on the shelf a letter to take to Santa the first night the elf appears. Last year the then 11yr old wrote “Mom, Dad, I’m not an idiot. I’ve known it was y’all for a few years. Just get me a new bike.”

I laughed my arse off. My wife cried.

I think he has his doubts. Probably heard it at school. I guess I should wait until he asks us.

I would never tell them he was real, cause I'm not a Pagan.

Let them figure it out. No need to tell them.

There's always that one a-hole kid in 2nd or 3rd grade that runs around telling everyone Santa isn't real because they're the youngest in their family and have lazy parents and jerks for older siblings who ruined it for him.

All that to say someone's probably already told him at school. So it's up for him to decide if he wants to believe or not.

We never started with the Santa stuff.

We told them from the beginning that there isn’t one, but some kids believe there is so just let them believe what they want and don’t be a jerk trying to correct everyone.

My son is 8. I think it's time to tell him the truth. Momma wants to wait a little longer. What age did ya'll break the news?

Might as well tell them about Jesus while you're at it.

That seems to just rob them of a wonderful part of childhood. But hey, they're your kids.
