re: Whats a better place to go see a game?

Kentucky for sure. You have the bourbon trail and Keenland within a short drive. Tennessee is cool but outside of the school there’s not nearly as much.

How old are you? We have said that ESPN hates LSU for at least 20 years, possibly longer.

Pawwl Finebaum because Kiffin went to LSU:
"It's just so typical of Lane Kiffin to do something so utterly destructive. And that's what he did ... If he wanted to coach these kids, as he put it, he could have. And the simple answer is he would have remained the Ole Miss football coach... And what does he do? What Lane Kiffin always does. He lights a match to the castle that he built, and he runs out of town in the middle of the night.
Pawwl Finebaum had it been Bama, USC, Ohio State, or Notre Dame
"These schools have an obligation to go out and do the best they can for their student athletes and put the best pieces in place to go with a national championship. They have no responsibility to Ole Miss and their team, they need to do what is best for themselves. It's unfortunate that the circumstances made it so that it played out this way, but that's not ______'s fault, blame the calendar. He's the best coach on the market, and you do what you have to do to get him to your campus."

We played roundup tag. One person would start as "it" (usually whoever won the last game). Anyone you tagged would also be "it" until all but 1 was it. That person was the winner.

re: What time does he announce?

My worry is if they make the SECCG does that delay this whole thing another week.
First time an offense play results in less than a first down, fire him. First time the defense crosses their own 30 yard line, fire him. I think these are more than realistic expectations for the money.
re: LSU still in playoff hunt per espn
Posted by gar90 on 11/19/25 at 10:21 am to HailHailtoMichigan!
My guess would be if somehow there is a frick all tie, and we go to the SECCG and win it. Once we are mathematically eliminated from the SECCG we will be at 0%.
In the middle of the greatest season ever we still had people saying Joe Burrows.

As we sit today, ten SEC teams sit Playoff/Bowl Eligible. I believe it will finish at 11 if Kentucky can beat either Vandy or Louisville.
I’m seeing every projection where the bottom 2 and even 1-2 of the group of 6 are having to take a replacement team from a different conference.
Bowl game selection process

Since we’ve already had a bunch of “what bowl game threads” I figured it would be a good time to refresh the possibilities.
Obviously the playoffs get first.
The SEC has 9 bowl game tie ins-
Tier 1:
Citrus Bowl (Orlando, FL) - first pick outside of the playoffs. I did find an article that says they must take the team with the most wins or within 1 of the non-playoff teams. It was an old article so I’m not sure if the rule still applies.
Tier 2: group of 6 bowls. The weird thing about these games is the SEC gets to place teams in these games while the bowl game still gets the right to pick the opponent. The SEC makes placements based on geography, match ups, and generally what they feel is the best for $$$. While we as fans may “rank” these bowl games, the SEC views them as equals. They are…
*Dukes Mayo Bowl (Charlotte)
Liberty Bowl (Memphis)
ReliQuest Bowl (Tampa)
Music City Bowl (Nashville)
Texas Bowl (Houston)
Gator Bowl (Jacksonville)
*The Dukes Mayo Bowl rotates with the Las Vegas Bowl. The Las Vegas bowl gets even numbered years
Tier 3: bowl games select among remaining eligible teams, they get to pick in this order.
Birmingham Bowl (Birmingham)
Gasparilla Bowl (Tampa)
***Note 1: this is the final year of the current bowl tie in contract. This will potentially all change next year.
***Note 2: the independence bowl in Shreveport is no longer an SEC bowl. It gets thrown around a lot here as a possibility … it’s not.

re: Most Likely Bowl Game?
Posted by gar90 on 11/16/25 at 4:30 pm to ToldYouSo1
Most likely Music City or Gator. Probably not Texas because we were there last year, and Citrus has to take the team with the most wins outside of the playoffs which won’t be us.

No longer an SEC bowl. It’s big 12 vs pac 12
Small chance but highly unlikely. Birmingham basically gets the 8th SEC team that is not in the playoffs. I don’t think there will even be 8 bowl eligible SEC teams outside of the playoffs and if there is I don’t see us as being the least desirable.
If his defense gives up a point put him on the hot seat. If we are trailing in a game get a shortlist of replacements. If he loses a game fire him and ban him and his kids from ever entering the state of Louisiana.
