What age did you tell your children that Santa isn't real?

My son is 8. I think it's time to tell him the truth. Momma wants to wait a little longer. What age did ya'll break the news?

I had a 12-year-old guitar student who still believed in Santa and the Easter bunny. It was sad and pathetic.
