I think our society sugar coats the rampant obesity problem, but this thread makes you look like a pretty miserable person. Whether you are, or not.

And a keto diet won’t fix that.

Most of the time when people claim they eat that little they are not tracking accurately. First, be 100% honest with yourself and your tracking. If you're absolutely sure you're accurately tracking your caloric intake and it's that low while maintaining or even gaining, reverse diet slowly

what is with the obsession with weight around here? Kind of weird. I don't pay attention to what other people eat and I really don't care. This is the second fat shaming thread in 2 days. Grow up.

It affects everyone.

It affects healthcare premiums.

It is a huge hamper on our medical system.

People who write it off as no big deal are part of the problem.

Her problem isn’t the caloric intake, it’s the type of food. All of her meals are loaded with fats and sugar.

Only fat people post that they don't care if people are fat. It's quite obvious that it has many negative effects on society, both financially and psychological.

lost 49 pounds by eating plant based diet. Then j started gaining. I eat 1000 to 1200 calories per day and cannot drop more, in fact started gaining some.

It’s because you are under nourished. Your body basically goes into a starvation mode and slows your metabolism way down. To lose more, you need to workout and actually eat more food, particularly carbs. Not too many carbs, but enough to boost your metabolism and energy.

2800 calories is a lot. That's about 900 more than an inactive female should be consuming. You can gain 100 pounds in one year at that rate.

It takes minimal caloric support for existing fat. 2800 isn't all that much, in the grand scheme of things, but enough to make/keep a female particularly fat.

The absolute last thing he needs to be doing is eating carbs. He needs to eat zero carbs and fast. If he can do a quick 72 hr water fast followed by a strict Keto WOE. I would restrict him to maximum 1500 calories every 72 hours he will drop weight like crazy.

starvation mode

This isn’t true. Outside of prolonged periods of fasting, this is a complete and total myth debunked by multiple studies.
