I know exactly the thread you are talking about and it is seared into my psyche as well. The really wild thing about it is those pictures were taken by a Chinese guy who was so shocked and disgusted by India he wanted to show the world how bad it is. China is not exactly the most hygienic place on the planet so that stuck with me that even this Chinese guy was so disgusted by India.
