I've mentioned this a lot, but every time I see threads like this one it reminds me of a thread someone started one day on here and it was a link to pictures from India and just how nasty it is. Not only trash everywhere, but literal shite, dead animals and even dead human beings just sitting there bloated in the water.....the same water that people are swimming, bathing, and drinking from like 50 yards away. It was absolutely disgusting and stuck with me ever since.
I think I've looked for the thread again since then and haven't found it. I may try again.

Worst experience of my life was a 15 hour flight from Doha to Houston full of Indians. Not a single one of them knew how to use a bathroom door.
