I think neither side really knows who they are complaining about. Most boomers are actually complaining about Gen Z, and most millenials are complaining about Gen x

I wonder if people that post in this thread about us being kids are visualizing a 40year old with a fam and kids. Idk.

Oh they do. Especially the self righteous gen Xers since their boss is likely either a boomer or older millennial.

of course it is individuals with unique motivations and circumstances - an idea beyond the poisonous indoctrination/"education" of motivations by some.

The very idea that a demographic is a monolith responsible for ANYTHING is preposterous.... and will be spread here with the required ignorance momentarily...

I wish someone had an actual Union for professional jobs but I'm replaceable.

Collective Bargaining only works in the narrowest of circumstances with finite labor. Must be nice.

Honestly every generation is influenced by a monolithic, sociopathic ruling class of political and corporate elites. They set the rules of the game and the population just follows along. It’s long past time for the population at large to take back their power en masse and tell these people to frick off, we aren’t cooperating anymore.

I feel like the Forgotten Generation is dying off at a record pace and no one cares. It's like, oh you fought in Korea, paid off your house early, kept your mouth shut and watched a lot of 60 minutes? Who cares. Hurry up and die of Covid so I can call dibs on your toaster and lawn furniture.

Typical whining millennials blaming Boomers for all their problems.

Nut it up and get over it.

Don’t forget about the Gen-Xers. We’ve been paying for those selfish decisions.

Pretty sure this can be said of damn near every generation. This country loves being at war and it makes many people a lot of money doing so.

So you had very little if anything invested during those economic times. Sounds like you dodged a bullet.

It's pretty selfish & short-sighted for any generation to place any sort of blame on the Boomers, who grew up in a world that was far, far different than the world all previous generations lived in.

Did they create some problems along the way? Sure. Did they have experience or conventional wisdom to better guide them in this new world? Probably not. Did they usher in a pretty damn comfortable way of life, compared to all previous generations? Absolutely, you ungrateful dicknuts

I'm Gen X (53) and I found this interesting - both my parents were from the "silent generation" which I'd never heard of until now.

I'm 29, with a wife, a homeowner, a kid with another on the way. I'm typing this out as I pay my gas bill. Do I need to grow the frick up too?

This is why the idea of generations is a bullshite construct. You just lump an entire group of people into a pretty little box and say "that age group is full of pieces of shite."
