Vote NO on the BREC tax June 27 unless they agree to leave City Park alone and drop the plans for change to the golf course!

The Course is historic and is a community gem. Anyone from any background and economic level can come to play golf there and feel welcome. Keep this treasure in tact as it is, and if smart, they’ll improve what they have now. Thank you and

I'm voting no anyway. They have shown they can't manage money and have quite a few "parks" that need to be out of the system.

City Park is a great course and very fun to play. I especially enjoy hole 4 with the hills. Hole 7 kicks my arse every time due to my slice going on or over the tracks, and hole 9 is my favorite because I’ve nearly made a hole in one multiple times on it. The course is great for all experience levels and everyone is very nice there. It would be a big shame if they cut this course down.

The only complaint I have about it is that every once in a while there will be some ghetto trash randomly walking across the course and that makes me a little uneasy because you never know what their intentions are while passing golfers. Other than that, it’s a great course for Baton Rouge.

In order to make the green with your tee shot you have to flirt with that big arse tree right there in the bend on the right. I’ve hit the green numerous times but I’ve been stuck under that big arse tree a few times also

Automatic NO vote Everytime..BREC has a 116mil budget, 317k per day and nothing is actually nice and if it is you have to pay extra to use it, like the Sportsplex or Oak Villa fields... getting gym time at one of the random gyms is not very easy to pull off ...they need to scrap all the small parks and have one huge park with everything there...baseball, football, basketball, tennis/pickleball ..and have 5 to 10 full time security guards enforcing rules

I’m voting no but the golf course needs to be repurposed.. I’d love a lighted par three but the current “historic” golf course is shite..

After the school vote, I’ll be voting no for anything going forward. Give us our own schools and we will participate, until then it’s no on everything.

Hands down no. Go play Webb. It would be better suited for all to have a nice city park.

Why in the world was that a statewide vote anyway?

#9 is a straight as an arrow par 3 and the only tree on the right is nowhere near in the way of the green. You might be thinking of another hole.

even St George voted NO on the schools. Could have been city wide, parish wide, regional wide, state wide, nationally, and results would have been the same

I played the hell out of City Park when I was in college. It was cheaper than the LSU course, and I wanna say they would let you play multiple rounds. It’s also a fun layout for being a short course.
